I mean, its not like we hadn't done it before. Including rounding up citizens who just so happened to be Asian-Americans

Sorry onawb, but those WW2-era internment camps aren't available. They're out in Californicate so Gov. Brylcreem gets first dibs. I hear he plans to reopen them to intern, er I mean house, all the homeless people despoiling his beautiful state.

Including American citizens. Including natural born American citizens.
You forgot that, right?

No, they aren't going to just deport illegals.
They are going to deport anyone who isn't American enough.
If your skin color is too dark, your last name is an ethnic one, or you have an accent, mate, you might be poised for the Trump Bus to Mexico.

FOX News: "What happens to the Mayor or local police Department chief under the Democratic leadership that obstructs ICE and Federal Agents that helps get this deportations?"
Tom Homan: "Finally i will say this, they need to educate themselves, they need to read title 8 United States Code 13-24 read about that and don’t cross that line because it’s a felony to harbour and conceal illegal alliens from ICE."

Off topic like blaming Americans for crimes, when the topic is IILEGAL, already criminal, aliens, committing them.
Or whining about money, when our country is already funding the world.
How about we enforce the LAWS that exist for a reason?
And just stop them at the border?

Part of enforcing those laws is the asylum process. Which, if it leads to the case being denied leads to deportations.
You're talking about expulsions. And those are happening every single day.
Alas, apples and oranges. Lusty is the closest to figuring this out and he's got miles to go.
Why was Obama so much better at deportations than the guy who promised us chicken salad gave us numbers that are ultimately Bidenesque (you might say, chicken shit)?

No, it doesn't. Latest figures show 1.4 million migrants have had their cases heard and denied. Yet they still haven't been detained or deported.

Cut the patronizing crap, will ya? I'm not here to "figure out" what you refuse to explain in plain English. Spit out your point and I'll respond.

Why are you focusing on a single variable - deportations - without putting it into the context of the larger picture? Are you seriously suggesting Biden's overall record on the border was no worse than Trump's? You can't be serious!

Topic isn't how secure the border is. It's how many folks Trump actually deported and how it lagged Obama (both terms) and is on par with Biden.
As for deportation orders, you're getting closer but we're looking at actual deportations. Those orders can be circumvented, or delayed by legal and illegal means.
And again, you're trying to read something that isn't being said about overall border record. I implied that both Trump and Biden's actual deportation records were chicken shit. That seems to have gone unnoticed.
Asking you guys to explain why Trump's efforts lagged so far behind Obama when it was a core Trump issue. And instead you're going everywhere else.
You can't make sense of the big picture without knowing the primary factors. Once you see those, you'll be able to see the connection points... even the counter-intuitive ones.
Set aside the partisan talking points and take a stab at it. It's ok if you're wrong as long as you address the actual question. It's gonna be simpler than you think, it's gonna be a smidge counter-intuitive and it doesn't involve the border. Not directly, which is why you don't have to focus there or on expulsions.
Might involve the courts. Might involve Miller, McAleenan and Cucinelli. Might involve staffing levels, budget and priorities.
I'm leaving out dots but can't wait to see how you can connect what's in front of you.
It's important because Obama didn't need to declare a national emergency or use the national guard to do what he did.
