Default A Few Supplements that Improve Your Quality of Life

I am a supplement nut, and research new stuff constantly. Over the last year I have discoverd 3 supplements that have vastly improved my quality of Life...

(1) Pycnogenol ($32.99 @ Vitamin Shoppe)

Go to www.pycnogenol.com for all of the amazing benefits.

I had stopped running for over a year due to the massive pain in my hips and back. Started taking Pycnogenol, and within 2 months I was running again. I am able to run every day if I wanted to with little to no pain. It is known to almost annihilate arthritis.

You have to take it 3 times a day. You can not overdose on this. I take 100mg 3 times a day for the best benefit of this supplement.

(2) Animal Pak ($28.99 @ Vitamin Shoppe)

Go to www.animalpak.com for all of the amazing benefits.

I have been getting vitamin b shots twice a week and taking vitamin b supplements to increase my energy and vitality. Since I have been taking the Animal Pak I have had no need to continue getting the vitamin b shots or pills. Not to mention the other numerous advantages to the body this gives especially to those who run and/or workout. It is jam packed with almost everything your body would need.

The instructions say to take 2 packs a day. That is for those in a serious training regiment. For the rest of us, you just take 1 pack a day. I take mine on an empty stomach because it is filled with amino acids which work best on an empty stomach.

(3) Cell Food ($27.99 @ Vitamin Shoppe)

Go to www.luminahealth.com for all of the amazing benefits.

I have asthma, and was constantly having to rely on my inhaler especially before I would go on a run. Since using this I have not used my inhaler even one time. I am also able to run long distances without getting out of breath, or too tired to continue running. It improves the level of oxygen and hydrogen in your body which gives increased energy and helps improve endurance.

You pour about 4 oz of water, add 8 drops of the Cell Food and then drink quickly. You do this 3 times a day for the max benefits.

I get all my stuff at Vitamin Shoppe or Amazon.

or is this all unquantifed abstract thinking? oh, no tests, all abstract.,
want energy, take Ephedrine/caffeinie.. just dont have High bp/sex on EC stack
better yet, eat a high nitrate diet

Another Addition for Men...

Arginine (Vitamin Shoppe / GNC / Amazon)

An amino acid that works as a Viagra alternative for those of you who prefer more natural solutions versus a prescription pill. It is a lot less expensive to boot.

*If taken on a completely empty stomach the added benefit is that the body will naturally release more HGH.

Link for further information

> Take 1,000mg 3Xs per Day (*Arginine works best when taken on an empty stomach for best absorption)

no, skip arginine, use citrillune, fewer side effect., still leads to increase in NO/Nitric Oxide, which can lead to boners
and/or eat a DASH diet, lots of nitrate foods, as that is shown to be extremely healthy

I am not trying to be an ass, I think you give great jumping off points, I'm just inserting other facts

Just so everyone knows...

I do not take Arginine for ED issues lol hee hee.

I take Arginine (plus an assortment of other amino acids) first thing in the morning on a completely empty stomach so that my body will hopefully naturally release more HGH. I take them with water, and then I do NOT eat or drink anything for two hours.

May all be a mirage lol, but my skin has never looked better, my sex drive higher, my mood elevated and my energy increased.

So for me having to wait the two hours to eat or drink is worth it to me especially since I do not like to eat breakfast or breakfast foods lol.

I know you all love my quotes lol. This is one of my favorite quotes:
"My Body Is The Garden Of My Soul" -Deepak Chopra-

Here's a few more lol...

Cinnamon - capsules in vitamin aisle not the spice you use for food
(Walgreens $9.99)
Take 2,000 mg 2Xs a Day
Cinnamon promotes sugar metabolism, and helps heart and circulatory health

Triple-Boost Caffeine-Free Energy (Vitamin Shoppe $18.99)
All day jitter free boost of energy for your body, brain, muscles and adrenals.
Take 4 soft gel capsules all at the same time 1XDay ONLY
Make sure to take these before 1-3pm. Otherwise you will be awake all night lol.
I am not a fan of caffeine, and find these give me pure energy versus the energy I would get from caffeine.

So, if I'm only open to taking one of these products, what should it be (I've always weight trained properly but its been a while, exercise some, still in OK shape)?

AnimalPak

That thing is packed full of vitamins, minerals, amino acids, antioxidants, performance complex and enzymes.

You can't go wrong with taking a pack of that a day. Directions say to take 2 packs a day, but this is ONLY for people who are in an intense training program. I could not imagine taking 2 packs of that a day. It's powerful stuff lol.

I am not a big fan of melatonin (any more) or sleeping pills. You wake up with that hangover(ish) feeling as well as feeling fuzzy/disoriented the first part of the day.

If I have trouble sleeping I just take 3,000mg of GABA which is another one of those amazingly useful amino acids. You need to have at least 6 hours before you need to get up, but you don't have any negative side effects.

It's best just to use this stuff until you can establish a healthy sleep schedule. Then wean yourself off them when you can fall asleep and stay asleep on your own.

If you are not stressed out, worried or overly excited then a hormone imbalance can be the cause for the interruption(s) to your sleep.

Another thing to be cautious about is not drinking before you go to bed. You may think you sleep good, but you actually get poor sleep when you go to bed after having some drinks.

Sleep, like gold, is one of those extremely valuable commodities lol.

--Makes sense if you read that link I gave about increasing NO in the body, helps heart function, lowers BP/HR and helps circilaton.
Arginine will increase NO.

that's good,
as the science says:
Cinnamon's glucose lowering action seem to be based on methylhydroxychalcone polymer, or MHCP. MHCP is actually a mock insulin and ushers glucose into the cells in much the same that insulin does. One study gave diabetic patients 1, 3 or 6 gram daily doses of cinnamon. Even at the 1 gram dose, the results were particularly impressive: particpants after six weeks of use had glucose levels reduced by 16%
--
Diabetes Care, 2003 Dec, 26(12):3215-8
the problem is: There is a certain type of "mock" cinnamon (Cassia) commonly sold in stores(WALMART) that has significant couramin, which is known to cause liver and kidney problems. You only want to buy true cinnamon, which is Ceylon Cinnamon.

Im not sure what pure energy ism caffeine has a 6hr half life, so best to not take any after noon if you plan to sleep that night,..(even if you sleep on caffeine your REM can be reduced, so its not the best sleep.

Might try bodybuilding.com they are cheaper than something's at vitamin shoppe, all depends on the stuff on sale there though. I currently take scivation xtend during workouts and fasted cardio. It has bcaas, citrullne, glutamine. No stimulants and I think under 10 calories. Stuffs legit especially when cutting and fasting. Also started the jym supplements for pre and post workouts on weight days and it has been awesome so far this week.

Unfortunately I have no knowledge of cutting and fasting because I have a severe dessert addiction lol.

If I could stop eating Culver's ice cream and/or Nabisco's mini Oreo cookies I would probably be a spinner, buttt I am not lol hee hee. I might not be tiny, but I am Happy lol.

Hey there could be worse vices to have than an extreme sugar tooth lol. I know sugar is like in the top 3 things that are not good for the body. The battle wages in my mind, and the sugar tooth always wins lol.

Yes you are correct! Anything, anywhere else is cheaper than Vitamin Shoppe lol.

The guys there all know my name, and constantly give me all kinds of information on what to add or stop taking. Half the stuff I add is only because they were there to give me all the details about each supplement. Most of them either work out, or are health information nerds that have tons of valuable advice. If I didn't feel so guilty I would order everything off Amazon lol.
