Things I would like to see

These things would make me temporarily happy:

1. Rachel Jeantel become a weight watchers spokesperson.
2. Rioters pay for their vandalism and theft.
3. Liberals subject to their own policies such as affirmative action.
4. Ivy League Universities fire their public relations departments
5. Prostitution made legal
6. pot, heroin, LSD,ex etc made legal
7. US military out of foreign wars and budget cut in half
8. US aid to Israel doubled
9. Unemployment reduced to 5% or less
10.Only people who pay at least 10000 per year in taxes get to vote

Not sure about 1 and 4. Yes to 6, but not because I think people should do them. I think people should quit dying trying to keep them out. More people die to stop the trafficking than would die in traffic due to stoned drivers. Enthusiastic fist pump to everything else.

I'm willing to include state and local taxes in the total. It isn't a matter of the rich or not, it is a matter of paying your way.

Ok, so 5,6 and 7 are very "Liberal" points of view. Even 8 could be considered as well. So I assume you're a moderate. You'll never get the first 3 I mentioned from a Tea Party candidate. I'm a fiscal conservative, but a social liberal. Pot and prostitution should be legal, the other drugs, I'm not so sure about. But I agree with damn near all you had to say.

I considered the vote per dollar concept - I first heard of that idea from H.L. Hunt, by the way. Perhaps a modification could be one vote per thousand dollars of taxes paid?
