They took prayer and paddles out of the schools and look what you've got. A bunch of stupid hooktards misspelling words, using bad grammar, can't do math worth a shit and believe the War of States Rights was about slavery. It's about time someone wised up and started telling the truth whether you want to hear it or not.

We already rule the world.

So what's the problem? Let Texas raise a generation of Jim Jones idiots.

The pendulum swings to the right and the left cries foul.

Education has had a strong liberal bias for many years. It was only a matter of time before someone tries to swing it back to the right.

The five minute mark of this:

Texas has been trying this for years. Years. Let them do it. When their kids grow up and go to college out of state...well, they may live to regret the fees for remedial tutoring.

The fly in the ointment is the textbook publishers. They don't make a different textbook for each state. Texas purchases a lot of textbooks, therefore the crap that they want ends up being taught in other states.

The War of States Rights - why did the south attempt to leave the Union? What "right" were they worried about losing?

If you want prayer in school, step up to the plate and pay for your kid to go to a private school - I did.

Damn it B-Man! We're trying not to point that out so that Darwinism can solve the problem for us. Geesh... don't you read the memos?

The rights guaranteed by the 10th amendment. Since then we have slowly given away more and more of our ability as states to govern ourselves.

I have no kids of my own but I do volunteer work with a lot of them. A simple non denominational prayer, if nothing else, serves as a reminder that they have an obligation to someone other than themselves. I don't see any negative in that. Beyond that I don't thinck a SHMB is the proper place to get into a moral or religious discussion.

BM...why send your kid to a private school? Why not the KCMO public schools?

It wasn't meant to turn into a moral or religious discussion. I'm not religious at all and could care less, but changing the history books to suit your views isn't cool at all.
I am also apprehensive that since TX is such a huge ass state that the books won't be limited to just that area. They'll end up all over the US. It's a valid concern.

Finally! A curriculum for indoctrination that Joseph Goebbels would be proud of. Now we need only implement personal loyalty oaths to the governor.

I weep for the future.
