Default Love scotch? What are you drinking these days?

Here is my drink lineup at the moment

Duncan Taylor - Strathisla 1968 (43 years)
Duncan Taylor - The Octave - Caperdonich 1972 (38 years)
Lonach - Bunnahabhain 1968 (40 years)
Lonach - Tomatin 1965 (43 years)

About to enjoy a 2004 Chateau Pontet-Canet which is ripe and ready to drink .

Laphroaig is great, I really like the 18 in particular. Also try Lagavulin 16, which is not super expensive and has a super smokey taste, almost like eating smoked meats. The Bunnahabhain in my picture is also an Islay, but it's totally different than most Islays in that it's super delicate yet full of flavor (just subtle.)

Johnny Walker Black/Blue and Buchanan's. I need to become more informed about scotch and the myriad of choices available.

Johny Walker Blue is pretty good, but IMO there are better drinks in that price range. Then again I'm not a huge blended whisky guy.

Not a blended guy either.
The Macallan 18 year is great
For my daily elixir I have a 10 year old Glenmorangie which I have found tastes better than many 12 and 18 year old single malts and is a great price if you are a regular scotch drinker.

I used to like Glenlivet until while on vacation, I got to try some Laphroiag at the Cowgirl BBQ in Santa Fe. It's my new favorite. I'm about to pour myself a glass of Laphroaig and stuff my Nording pipe with a Latakia/Perique blend called Voodoo Queen.

Oban; Laphroig both very good and faves; also try some of the cask stregth Wyhte and Whyte; the Japanese make a couple of decent ones.. Compass Box or some of the greatest blends ever (and I like single cask single malts).
There is a great Texas scotch from Balcones.. and while not a Scotch so to speak their Brumble is a fucking great whiskey.. almost as good fucking a hot piece of pussy..

I came into this thread to recommend some Bunnahabhain...and I love that it was mentioned in post #1. Hail fellow, well met.

Laphroaig is a li'l too smoky for my palette, but I appreciate the occasional sip--neat, of course.
