References
Ladies...
What is an acceptable time frame to wait for a reference before you get annoyed that she hasn't responded?
How long does it usually take you to respond to a reference?
Men...
How long is too long for a lady to take checking your references?
If a provider you have listed as a reference, doesn't respond in a timely manner, or doesn't respond at all, do you get offended?

Don't know if there is a standard acceptable time, Jillian. It's one reason some girls don't do short-notice appointments...not enough time to screen us. It's tougher for the newer guys or ones that have little or no reviews or no OKs on P411.
I've done maybe 3 same day appointments with a girl I've never seen. Most of the time I make appointments at least 3 days in advance so y'all can have enough time to check.

I know that. But I mean like how many days without a response? Especially if they are a fairly active provider and they don't respond. But does a no response mean they are a bad client or that they are so great they don't want to share lol

I certainly hope you and other professional providers are not doing the latter. If a Provider gave me a 'no' when being used for a reference because she didn't want to share me, she'd never be a provider I would see again and someone I would stear others away from. That is incredibly unprofessional and dishonest.

Depends. If she is actively posting on the boards or in chat, but ignoring your request, then that is blatant.
If it is the evening or the weekend, a lot of us don't always check the boards during those times.
My rule of thumb is that if I send a request, I see activity but don't hear anything back, then I will generally go back to the gent, let him know that his reference isn't answering, and ask for another reference, if needed.
If I give a flat out no, it is going to be accompanied by a long explanation of why. In my time in the hobby, there are only a total of 3 people that I would give a no to and they all know not to bother listing me as a reference.

Lol. I always give references if I can. Sometimes people I've seen once use me as a reference and I either can't find any record of it or don't remember, bed them... Or both lol. But anyone I've seen multiple times and I like, I'll give them a glowing review in a heartbeat. I don't think I've ever had to give a bad review. Maybe one that says keep an eye out but nothing like "no way girl! Run for your life!" Lol

I ask because I requested a reference from a girl but her PMs are turned off so I emailed her and texted her number listed in her ad. But she posted the ad either that day or the day before. I'm just curious of like how long I wait before it's like "okay you're not going to answer me". Most of the time, when checking references, ladies respond fairly quickly.

People give references?
I just let my awesomeness speak for itself.
But if I did give references I see no reason why they would take more than today or the next day.

I always have a hard time with references. I very rarely know ahead of time when I'm going to be available. So I have to find someone that will accept me on short notice. Usually just an hour or two. Then my second issue is references. I love having sessions, but I only get time to do it a few times a year. So I can't really use them as a reference, because they won't remember me several months after they've only seen me one time. Or at least I assume they won't.
So my list I have of the girls I REALLY want to see, are the same ones I can't see because they don't like either of the things above. I completely understand why on both counts of course. Just sucks for me.

I would just contact the hobbiest back saying you're still waiting to hear back from so and so. If he isn't patient he's probably not worth seeing.

I agree about the blatant activity. If there is plenty of it then that's just rude. Now, if two hours goes by, and theres no activity, it's obvious the lady is busy. I had a NCNS and it stung because the gent was online constantly. It's rude, and very, very disrespectful.
Sometimes, what concerns me is the ladies who give a yes but have never seen him - it's happened to me before (off the board) .
References that are too lengthy in detail can often be deceiving - as men act and behave differently with different providers. It comes along with the hobby. It's just always great to use different screening methods in addition to references.
