Having been in a group where a guy decides to play high roller for the night, I don't find this hard to believe at all. Club management zeros in on these clowns, and makes sure the party keeps rolling. And they're experts at extracting all the money you're willing to turn loose of.

My friend didn't drop this much, but one night at a club in Austin cost him 8-9K on his credit card. I had a hell of a good time.
