Image upload count

So as much trouble as I have been having uploading a simple 4 mb photo to a weekly update, imagine my surprise when I viewed the list of my recent uploads and saw the photos had been downloaded several hundred times. Are these numbers right? Are the photos we posts downloaded by others at that rate? Is this the reason why only a couple of my pictures are able to be uploaded from my computer because they are being downloaded to other computers?

I'm not sure what you're talking about. As far as images being downloaded goes though, all modern browsers download a copy of the image and store it locally in cache to speed up future views of the image. Any count on this site of the number of times an image has been downloaded is actually just the number of times it has been viewed.
