I just saw a video of some islamic scholar stating pretty much the same thing. He pointed out that when the Romans kicked the Jews out of Judea that they named it some word (can't remember what it was) that Palestine is derived from, meaning New Land, if I am remembering that correctly.

Also, the Archeology sites in that area show that each time a new group took possession of the area they leveled the buildings and built on top of them, trying to destroy everything about the previous group. Most areas there are 5 or more layers of buildings and artifacts.

Where I live, forced entry of a private home and the murder of the family living there is considered a Capital Offence. If it is motivated by an antipathy for the family's race, ethnicity or religion it is also considered to be a hate crime.

In 1962, the communists forcibly evicted thousands of Cuban citizens from their homes. Many of these people entered South America, Mexico and the USA. They were not kept incarce3rated in involuntary poverty by their host nations.


In 1956, the Communist occupiers of my father's homeland were expelled from Hungary in a rebellion. The Communists returned and wrested bsack control of the people. Many Hungarian citizens fled to neighboring European nat6ions. They were not kept in concentration camps in perpetual poverty by their hosting nations.

That seems to have been a general practice worldwide in the pre-modern periods over the centuries.

Troy, Jerico, most ancient cities in India and China . . .all have layers on top of layers.

Guess what these "morally right" people did to that land after the white farmers departed was good too. Though Mughabe (sp) was blessed by the English to lead the country, what he turned it into definitely wasn't morally right for the people there. African or Anglo.

I think that in general; the list in the OP is good, though some kingdom may have been left out. It makes the point. We can quibble over the Philistines of the Bible, but whoever they were, they were not ethnically "Arab" nor were they culturally or religiously Moslem.

The Islamic, Arabic conquest of the East coast of the Mediterranean and the rest of the Middle East did not come until several centuries into the AD/BCE years (700?).

The Jews however were always themselves, as a distinct people from the time of Exodus in the late Bronze Age (1200-1100 BC), . . .up through the present in this, the third decade of the Twenty-First Century.

white farmers owned those farms for hundreds of years were done in a fair trade; land for cows. there were people who weren't happy with this fact, this is how the Boer war came about.

Mugabe uproots those white farmers who knew how to farm and gave their land to people who didn't know how to farm.

those white farmers were not compensated for the loss of the farms.

I only read a few WS novels back in the early 1980s. Those stories were set in the early post-colonial period.

One involved migrating elephants (The Big Footprints?). Another involved salvaging sunken treasure (Eye of the Tiger?). Always entertaining.
