Actually, coal pollution probably costs us more in Medicaid and Medicare costs when we let the bastards who own the mines operate without regulations. This is a situation where the government is needed - a few rich assholes, like WTF, exploit the workers, pollute, and let everyone else clean up their mess. We need clean coal, we will only get it with rules everyone follows.
I can't buy clean coal electricity unless everyone is forced to play by the rules - similar to the reason we need E-Verify - to make sure everyone only hires legal workers.

And the cost of a single Fukushima incident is in the trillions of dollars......so you against nuclear power as well ?

And the cost of fracking (on the environment so we are told) is in the billions of dollars...so you against natural gas for electric generation ?

And the cost of hydro power (environmental impacts) is also devastating...you against hydro power too ?

Which leaves us with only solar/wind which is impossible to meet the needs of a modern economy !

Fucking nimrod all oil is sold on the world market, if our usage is down the oil will be sold elsewhere and the price remains the same.Coal pollution affects all who happen to breath. Has nothing to do with warming .

I love nuclear and I love fracking. I think people who tear down dams so salmon can swim upstream are faggots who should be shot and fed to the fishes. I just don't think predatory businessmen like WTF (who isn't in the coal business but if he were he would pollute the shit out of the earth if he could get away with it) should get to shit all over everyone and not pay for the cleanup. Coal gets burned, and needs to be filtered, that's all. Why should some greedy asshole make a ton of money and cause medical problems that we all have to pay for through Medicare and Medicaid taxes?
