Romney's Albatros
So will Bain Capital turn out to be Romney's Albatross?
I think we all knew this campaign was going to be brutal, but it might be even more nasty than we imagined.
Does Romney really expect President Obama to apologize for the factual statements he has made about how predatory Bain Capital was under Romney?
. . . Yeah, sure!

Obama doesn't like capitalism of any kind. He's a socialist/Marxist. He won't be happy until everyone works for the government.

So the fact that Bain was over 70% sucessful in turning around businesses (Staples) means nothing. A lot of people owe their jobs to Bain Capital.

Appropriate Metaphor
Well, okay.
Maybe the more appropriate metaphor for Bain Capital should not really be an Albatross around Romney's neck.
. . . Maybe it should be more like a flock of vultures eating the carcass of a wounded animal!

Mitt's got a few albatri.
No military background.
From the northeast.
Made his money buying and selling businesses.
Non-mainstream religion.
I'm not criticizing these things, just saying they are all headwinds he's got going against him.
I'm all for unseating Obama. But Mitt's not the guy to do it.

Donald Rumsfeld once said, you go to war with the army you have, not the army you want. Romney is the candidate we have. We had better find a way to win.

I'm just saying that Mitt has got alot going against him... stuff that alot of conservatives are turned off by.
Military experience, typically Repubs enjoy an advantage in prez races category. Here, that's a wash.
Know what they call a Repub from Massachusetts in Tennessee? A liberal.
Some business experience is an asset in a race, IF it's not Wall Street, buy and sell / arbitrage experience. He never had a great idea and built it. He financed the ideas of others. Maybe a neccessary part of the process, but not an asset in today's political environment.
