Default CC trying to remove adult link from backpage.

Don't know the progress on this issue but it was on the news about the city trying to get adult sites on backpage removed from CC link. Anyone have news on this?

Could this be it? http://www.kristv.com/news/attorney-...solicitiation/

CORPUS CHRISTI -- Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott joined 16 other state attorneys general offices last week to request craigslist shut down their adult services section.
In their letter to craigslist, the attorneys general claim "ads for prostitution are rampant" on that portion of the site.
"It can be lucrative," said Commander David Torres with Corpus Christi's Narcotics/Vice Investigations Division. He's very familiar with the site, along with a few other social networking sites he would not list.
Commander torres even filled us in on the lingo used. One poster with a Corpus Christi area code is no woman, the "t4m" in her ad signifies transvestite for a man. "We've arrested a few males that are pretending to be females," he said. Other code words advertise price; $200 for a full hour, $150 for half an hour.
Often times the so called 'ladies' have another crime in mind, Torres told us. "A lot of times they get robbed," he explained, "a lot of times they get scammed out of their money and a lot of times, I'd say 8 of 10 times, they won't report it because they're so embarrassed."
Commander Torres says his division makes arrests off craigslist, other sites and in the streets weekly and they will continue. "We have probably arrested 90 prostitutes, that includes ladies from social websites, ladies from Leopard, down Agnes and down Staples," he said.
Undercover agents have even jumped online and joined these ladies to arrest the johns. "Some of the people we've arrested are professional people, we've arrested a licensed attorney in one of them," Torres said.
He does support the attorneys general's call to shut down that section of the site, saying having it there gives potential prostitutes an avenue to advertise, but Commander Torres says he does realize removing the adult services section will not rid us of the problem completely, it will either move the business elsewhere, say the personal services section or to another website entirely.
"Its going to exist, its going to exist, the thing is not giving it an avenue for a market where everyone can see it," Torres said. Wherever that market shows up, Torres says, his officers will be ready to tackle it.

NOTE: ""Its going to exist, its going to exist, the thing is not giving it an avenue for a market where everyone can see it," Torres said. Wherever that market shows up, Torres says, his officers will be ready to tackle it."

Hmmm
