The Ranchman's Cafe in Ponder has an awesome chicken fried steak and their fries are homemade and great too. Very good homemade pies if you have room for dessert. Not in Frisco but very good if you don't mind a little drive.

I was always told by friends, some who are long time DFW implants, that the Carrolton location is the original.
