So she's returned to her scamming ways. She popped up again a few weeks ago to me, talking about how her life was different, she's cute, so I listened... skeptically. Gave in last week and decided well its been a long time, maybe she got it together, she sounded exuberant, said good things and appeared to have it together after her kid was born.
She showed up for the appointment dressed well, but crying, makeup all messed and really freaking out that she had just had an violent incident with a baby daddy, we talked about a PFA, I was trying to calm her down, and there as no way we were getting to business. I had already sent her $$ when she showed up, and after she calmed down and I told her we'd get together some other time, she thanked me and said I was being amazing, and she'd make it up to me.. and then some.
She didn't. I texted her yesterday (5 days later) and she flipped out on me that she had spent time here, that's what things were given for, her time. So she would need a donation to see me. I thanked her for reminding me why I stopped seeing her a long time ago. So here I am, even veterans do stupid things.
Since then, she's scammed/attempted two other folks not on the board (one successful, one not) in the last 10 days. Also when she shows up, apparently sometimes her kid is in the car (one person said she had her roomie watching them, the other said they thought the kid was just left there). I don't know myself.
Caveat emptor.
If she wasn't a scammer, she could do well. Sad.
