Default Japanese Steak Houses in Houston

New to Houston from my hometown of Omaha NE
We have plenty of Japanese Steak Houses where I’m from & when I moved here, I tried Benihana.. was not impressed so does anyone have any other suggestions for great Hibachi?
Or .. any steakhouses at all? Thank you

Fogo de chao serves an orgy of beef, lamb, and chicken products. They serve it Brazilian style where a waiter comes to your table with different beef products.

It's been many years since Benihana's was any good in Houston. As D_J wrote, Fogo de Chao is outstanding yet can be pricey depending on your full cruise on the menu, however they have absolutely great food.

Some other streak houses that are good are, which are in no specific order since that depends on the one going, with my first couple of choice's being:

* Perry's Steakhouse & Grille - Memorial City and Katy locations.

* Lynn's Steakhouse - on Dairy Ashford just south of I10 on the Westside of Houston.

* Brenner's Steakhouse - on the south side of I10 east of Wilcrest (Westside as well).

* Fogo de Chao - on the north side of Westheimer east of Fondren(Westside too).

* Pappas Bros Steakhouse, on Westheimer - it was the Old Strawberry Patch which was excellent too.

* Capital Grill - both, one in the Galleria and the other in City Center (Westside on BW8 and I10 area).

The best Japanese steakhouse in Houston is Izakaya Wa.

No one mentioned my cardboard condo out behind Vic and Anthony's.
Only the best cut's of scraps and leftover's procured from the dumpster.

Yesss Pappas was very good! I’ll definitely look at the rest on your list, thank you

I think that honor would go to roka akor, it's just in a different price level. Some of the best beef I've ever eaten was the skewers at kata robata but that doesn't qualify as a steakhouse I don't think.

Other steakhouses of note: Pappas steakhouse, Doris Metropolitan, BB Butchers, and if you want that churrasco style, I always get fogo and chama guacha confused but Gauchos do Sol is a contender.

I usually hate these places! Show is OK, food is typically below average. But, have been to Kobe twice. Same show, but food was way better than other places I’ve been to.
