Opening ceremonies critique: I love when a host country and city with a rich history and beautiful scenery celebrates those attributes, and the French did all that. Not so keen on them feeling they had to prove they were edgy and modern.

The lighting of the cauldron and Celine’s performance at the Eiffel Tower, though, redeemed any “meh” feelings I had. That was very cool.

Beach volleyball is definitely not hard to watch. For some reason, it just draws me in and I hurry back after commercials...lol

Yup I agree but those idiots in Paris are wanting to make it more family friendly, instructing camera crew not to be taking revealing angle shots and now with beach volleyball and swimming, telling the athletes to wear less revealing swimsuit.


Therefore you see some of the beach volleyball girls wearing non swimsuits, covering up everything, which makes me question how they can even effectively play beach volleyball while wearing all that restricting clothing.

But the drag queens and trans and queer show in the opening ceremony was okay. I guess that was family friendly because it's LGBITABCDXYZ
