Prediction in trumpf hush money trial

I think he'll be convicted on some of the charges but not all of them. If that's the case, it will be interesting what kind of sentence Judge Merchan comes back with. I suspect he'll be more reasonable than Kangaroo Engoron, who slapped him with a $455 million fine. My prediction is that Merchan gives Trump a probated sentence.

I feel the same way.

Merchan knows this entire Charade will be tossed on appeal. Heck, his actions alone in running a “pro prosecution” trial will ensure that.

But the plan alll along has been to get some kind of conviction. Anything. So Biden can say “convicted criminal”.

Hopefully the voters will see through all of this, and recognize this entire debacle for what it is, the weaponization of the Justice System to bring down political opponents.

Just like they do in Russia, Central America, and a host of other Countries in the World that The Left in this Country seem to be enamored with.

I used the term, "Hush-money trial" in a conversation and a lawyer friend corrected me.

He explained that non-disclosure agreements were not illegal, nor was conducting the business in secret. He further explained that the charges brought were aimed at whether or not the money was paid from campaign funds or as legal fees to Trump's personal lawyer at that time.

He went on to point out that the statute of limits on the money transfers (iff deemed to be illegal) had already expired. The DA has tried to re-activate those charges by linking them to an as yet unspecified violation of federal election laws.

Now, I amno lawyer . . .but my friend is.

I don't know if this is a spin but the court just set one hell of a precedent for any future jerk off in politics. What just happened to Trump will surly happen to another politician, lol. I would say much sooner than later.
