I think it would be fun, interesting and beneficial to the industry if we could find a provider in each state to run for Governor or Congress. If nothing else, it would highlight the importance and the validity of the industry and help to establish the rights and protections provider's deserve. It would not take much to grab some headlines and free air time, as everyone here knows sex sales and you set up a news conference for a beautiful woman to get in front of the camera's and many people would take notice.
Its actually very simple to do, ok maybe to me because i've done this my entire career, but if you have someone that knows what they are doing, it would cost much money and would serve as a coordinated effort to draw attention to the legitimacy and the rights of those who work in the adult services industry.
The now famous Stormy Daniels was not nearly as well known in 2010 when she announced she was running for the US Senate in Louisiana against David Vitter. She had more media attention than she ever wanted and she used it to point out the hypocrisy of Senator Vitter who had just recently been caught using the services of several madams in DC and providers in New Orleans.
JUst something to think about as there is a trend of direct and indirect regulations aimed at the legitimate workers in the industry. One need to look no further that the far reaching federal law which shut many advertising websites down such as backpage, etc..
