The Marine That Accidentally Crossed Into Mexico, With Guns
I have read several accounts of this, I'm not really sure what to believe.
http://www.cnn.com/2014/05/30/us/mex...rine-detained/
Personally, I would not get within 10 miles of that shithole. But he did, and by doing so, broke some pretty serious Mexican Laws.
He also admitted to attempting a somewhat lame escape.
What do we do in this Country when a person in police custody tries to escape?
What do you all think. Was this guy the victim of a stupid mistake, or guilty of just being stupid?

Has happened to several people who have taken the wrong road then can't turn around. Same with them Mexican jail is not a happy place.

Once he finally resolves his legal issues with the Mexican government, he will have a separate set of legal issues to contend with at Camp Pendleton.
I would not want to be wearing his boots!

Or maybe just ignorant of the specifics of the gun laws.
You've hit on the main point though. A gun owner is responsible for knowing the location of any guns he may own. He crossed the border with guns. Intent, which is part of many criminal laws, isn't part of crossing the border with a gun. He did or didn't.

Have you seen that crossing? It goes one direction then kind of goes the other direction into Mexico. They (the Mexican police) are fully aware of this and take advantage of it. We are also aware of it but don't fix the road. Who's getting paid?
The difference between getting arrest here and there is due process and civil rights. The man is in irons! He wasn't able to see his lawyer (he wasn't able to get a lawyer in a timely manner) when it was necessary. He can't see his family and the only people that seem to care is Fox News and they are having trouble getting to him. What you're reading is the result of a lot of effort on the part of his support group. This is Mexico. The last time this happened I brought it up and people like the above thought it was very funny. That man lost a lot weight, was kept in leg irons as well, and his family had to pay bribes for his safety.

Wild accusations or assumptions of criminal activity.
The difference between getting arrest; misspelled word (arrested) or incorrect use of tense. Either way you fucked up here and there is due process and civil rights. The man is in irons! How many times do you need to be told?
He is in a foreign country with it's own laws. He drove into Mexico with a firearm in his truck. He is subject to their laws.
Why should he have access to the media while in jail? Losing weight, wearing leg irons, and paying bribes for safety are typical for many prisoners in Mexico. Nationals or not. So he is not being treated that differently than other prisoners.
The last time you brought this up you were just as wrong as now.
And as usual, you are a God-damned liar.
Show a post in which I thought his situation was funny, let alone very funny.
I frequently laugh at you and the stupid, ignorant, and naïve things you say. Just because I see you as a joke doesn't mean I see his situation as funny.
I feel sorry for him but he is responsible for the mess he is in.
Personal responsibility, right motherfucker? Isn't that what you preach (but seldom practice)?
That is and has been my position asswipe. Stop misrepresenting it

JD...lies all the time to try and gain support. I love how you point out his hypocrisy along with his lies. JD would you believe a Mexican drug mule made a wrong turn into this country? If not....why should Mexico believe this guy? Gun running is a big problem in Mexico just as drugs are here. Since when did you abandon the personal responsibility doctrine? That said....I hope they let him go and he stays far away from Mexico with assault rifles.

Perhaps the Notorious Idiot klan errr clan (led by the Patriarch himself) should assemble at the Mexican border and ride across in their worn out pick up trucks (with the Confederate Flag proudly embossed in the rear windows) and overthrow the Mexican government. Self appointed General LexiLiar could then change the officially recognized name of Mexico to Thurmondland (in honor of Senator Strom).
How do you say "The South Shall Rise Again" in Spanish?
Once their MISSION is ACCOMPLISHED they could send Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi back to Camp Pendleton in time to prepare his defense for the upcoming Court-Martial proceedings.

Do you feel stupid Munchie? You should if you're going to criticize a spelling error made at 4:30 AM.
I went to boot camp in San Diego. I went to my pre A school in San Diego (you don't need to know which one) so I have seen that stretch of highway. He had THREE guns in his vehicle not one. He had no intentions of going into Mexico. The highway has no exit ramp and the signage continues to be poorly marked. Go look on a map and you can see the road pretty clearly. For some reason (revenue for Mexico) the road swerves into Mexico and swerves back out again after a couple of miles. This puts the US citizen at the mercy of the Mexican police though they have no intention of being in Mexico or, more importantly, stopping in Mexico. Considering how many Mexican citizens the United State is hosting in our prison system for some very serious crimes you would think that Mexico would be more accomodating.
You may not be laughing out loud thinking it's funny but I can read the smirk in your postings. You are a sick SOB Munchie. I have to know why you hate this country and our military so much. Some drunken marine mistake you for a ......(that's for another time).

No, I am laughing out loud. At you.
It's good to find out that you can finally read a smirk that has been there since I read your first posting on this site.
You fail to make a single point except he may be considered a gun runner because he had 3 firearms instead of one.
A couple of things.
Why would I give a fuck what school you went to? Unless it was telepathy. That would explain how you know what this guy was thinking.
So tell us. Why was he driving around in close proximity to an international border? Guess what? It doesn't matter.
Roads generally are put where they can be put. If it curves around that usually means it has to.
Since I asked you about other arrests on that stretch and you have mentioned none, being at the mercy of the Mexican police is just another jd "fact".
Face it. He fucked up. Intentionally or not. He might appreciate your concern but I'm sure he doesn't appreciate you speaking for him. He's lucky that only 30-40 of us will ever hear you.
And now the guy who constantly posts about how fucked up our country is, how we have no future, and how we are steadily going down hill wants to know why I hate our country and our military so much. The guy who claims to have been in the military but doesn't have a single quality of our group. The guy who the term "stolen glory" was coined for.
Just keep talking bud.

There are a lot of dumb, ignorant, and/or formerly intoxicated people in U.S. prisons and jails. Mexico is no exception. IMO the continued labeling of this guy as a "Marine" got his ass kicked in jail (several times according to him), got him the leg-irons, and loss of "privileges." Secondly, his own version shows dumb, ignorant, and intoxicated.
His version:
He parked his TRUCK with "all his personal belongs in it, which included his "recently" purchased firearms (which any "bandito" would love to have), and walked across the border to spend the day "shopping." After he failed to find a "decent hotel" in which to spend the night in Mexico at the end of a long day of "shopping," he returned to his TRUCK where it was parked ALL DAY LONG WITH GUNS IN IT AT THE EDGE OF "NEVER-NEVER RETURN LAND FOR STOLEN VEHICLES, and while in an impaired condition decided to DRIVE BACK TO HIS FRIEND'S HOUSE where he HAD BEEN STAYING.
BigTits .. go fuck yourself. Making up shit again?
http://www.okcfox.com/story/25582581...usmc-superiors
He (on "reserve" status) .."...got an "Order to Muster" letter from the Marines telling Tahmooressi to report to the 4th Civil Affairs Group in Hialeah, Fla., on June 14." ... and
"Maj. Tamarra Jones, a Marine Force Reserves spokeswoman, said the corps is fully aware of Tahmooressi's situation and has been following it closely.
"This is an exceptional circumstance and Sgt. Tahmooressi won't be penalized for not attending this meeting," Jones told FoxNews.com."
Apparently the 14June14 report date is for a readiness physical.
As I understand the criminal's stated reason for having the weapons IN HIS POSSESSION (why he purchased them) is for PROTECTION. It is also my understanding from his "history" being tossed around he has sought help for PTSD from two deployments. Dumb, ignorant, and impaired.

It seems to be a little early in the AM for you to be feeling the effects of your special Idiot Family elixir.
Is it at least a fresh batch?
Oh well, party on!

Dan Patrick has proposed trading about 20million illegals in this country for the Marine.
Mexico just laughed.

How do you "accidentally" cross into another country? Bullshit. This guy was drunk and drove into Mexico with firearms. He'll spend another few weeks or months in Mexican custody and then they will cut him loose. Maybe next time, he won't be such an idiot.
By the way, fuck you Admiral.
