Hey guys,

I am thinking about going to TJ over the next couple months and had a few questions.

1. Is it safe to go alone? A little weary about being alone in a foreign country but, likely would not leave Hong Kong or the area at the very least.

2. If I wanted to party with multiple of the girls for multiple hours I’d this something that would be unusual? Not overly worried about the money aspect but, if the girls are used to short sessions and it would not be as enjoyable as the fantasy in my head that is something I want to be aware of.

I have been to TJ many times and have never felt concerned for my safety. Don't limit yourself to HK....venture over to Adelita's as well. Adelita's has always been my personal favorite. It's safe if you keep your wits about you and don't act like an idiot. Take cabs (or Uber, which is really cheap) anywhere. A cab from the border to the Zona is $5 or less. From Hong Kong back to the border is usually free (plus a tip). Don't go wandering around alone and drunk. Don't wave an expensive phone or watch around. All the things I'd suggest when traveling downtown in any big city.

Multiple girls for multiple hours is nothing unusual. You just have to make the deals. If you don't speak Spanish it will be harder. I'd suggest an escort agency. For under $100 per hr per girl, you should be able to have a great time.

Read all you can before you go, and at least try to learn a little Spanish. It will help a lot (in TJ and in life).

Hi guys,

I'm looking for an opportunity to go to Tijuana soon. My wife and I are going to Cancun in a few weeks and I'm trying to decide if I should go to TJ before or after my Cancun trip. I'm worried if I go to TJ two weeks before I go to Cancun, then is there a chance that Mexico's immigration officials or the American immigration officials will ask me about the TJ trip in front of my wife?

Just returned for a 3 day trip to Tijuana which included several border crossings for business in San Diego. Never a problem crossing the border in either direction. I was with 2 other guys, both Indian. One a naturalized US citizen and the other on an H1B Visa. Neither had trouble crossing, although both expected to be given a little more scrutiny.

Once in TJ, we stayed in the Zona Norte district with no problem whatsoever. We really didn't wander more than a block from our hotel which was right across the street from Club Hong Kong. I did do an early morning walk of about 6-8 blocks away, and at that time still did not feel uncomfortable. As in any city, I'd suggest "situational awareness". If you're going for the girls, then stay in the area where they are!
