You probably won’t get much in the way of responses to those questions, but I’ll try.
Plan on winter being colder and longer than you think it will be. Have good tires. A heated vest is worth the money. A survival kit in your vehicle is a real thing for the winter.
If you like to hunt or fish, there are lots of opportunities. I recommend visiting Medora and seeing the Badlands. Go to a UND hockey game. If you’re a football person there is the Bison at NDSU. There are lots of breweries and even a distillery to experience in the Fargo area. Find a pilot (like me) to show you a bit of the state fro the air to see how really flat it is, and see the flaming wellheads out west at night. Visit the Heritage center in Bismarck. Go to the Minot Norsk Hostfest. Go ice fishing. Visit the air museums in Fargo and Minot.
