This reminds me of the adolescent relationships I had with Heffner’s girls. I paid my money, and in return, I received a picture of a beautiful girl personalized with her autograph. I'd hang it on the back of my bedroom door so my mom couldn't see it. The relationship was always kinda one sided, and, like the one advertised, distant. Unfortunately, the relationships rarely lasted more than a month, and I was on to a new girl.

About ten years ago there was "Boyfriend in a Box". It was a box with pictures and romantic letters of some male model that the lonely woman could spread throughout her house to 'prove' she had a relationship. We bought one for our 50+ yo female manager who was ugly and had this loud cackling laugh you could hear through a closed door.
