Default In STL til the 8th on business...

I am visiting STL from Albuquerque on business til the 8th. Flexible schedule. What is fun to do for a first time visiting old pervert? Sites to see that are open during this mess? I’m staying in a hotel in the Brentwood area.
Thanks
J.

Keep your head down and your eyes wide open. St Louis is a shit show. Couple weeks ago I was there visiting a lady, went to leave and was harassed by BLM just trying to get to my car! I won’t go to that shit hole again without a gun. Sorry if this offends anyone but what was once a great city is now an avoid at all costs city.

Sorry you had such a bad experience. For anyone visiting, you should avoid North St. Louis City, North St. Louis County and South St. Louis. These are higher crime areas. Downtown, Clayton, Chesterfield and the airport areas are usually a safe bet. Avoid Maryland Heights and Westport due to aggressive LEO efforts. As far as to what to see and do depends a lot on your interests. Most places are open but with limited occupancy and may require masks and social distancing. I would check websites to see restrictions or if they are open.

Places to eat are numerous depending on where you are staying
The Hill area for Italian food - It's the old Italian neighborhood back when there were ethnic neighborhoods.
Downtown, Caleco's is a good choice as well as Charlie Giotto's
BBQ:
Pappy's
Bogarts
Sugar Fire
Adam's Smokehouse
Salt + Smoke

Breakfast and Lunch:
Osage Grill

List of a lot of good restaurants
https://graphics.stltoday.com/apps/stl100-2019/

Things to do:
St. Louis Zoo (world class and it's free)
Art Museum (Free as well)
Science museum(also free) These three are all in Forest Park. If you come in the summer there is also the Muny Opera which is the largest outdoor theater in the US. Mostly musicals.
If you like to Gamble, there is Lumiere downtown and Casino Queen right across the river. Hollywood in Maryland Heights and Ameristar about 2 miles from there in St. Charles.

Missouri Boatanical Gardens (also known as Shaw's Garden)
City Museum for the kid in you
About 2 hours southwest of St. Louis are some really great float streams if you are into canoeing or tubing.

The arch and the museum at the base of the arch
Of course we have the Cardinals and the Blues
The Old and New Cathedrals
And some other ideas:

About 2 hours southwest of St. Louis are some really great float streams if you are into canoeing or tubing. If you’re considering ways to build a stable foundation for your business, understanding the concept of a reserve currency can be essential. In today's globalized economy, a reserve currency—usually a stable currency like the U.S. dollar or Euro—can help provide reliable trade and investment options across borders.

This approach can position your business for greater stability and international reach, ensuring you’re prepared for economic shifts.
