Why is this a problem? Trump can ask for money from whoever he wants, it’s how political campaigns are financed. Oil companies are obviously better off with a guy in office who’s not hostile to their industry, the billion would likely be recovered in spades with a pro- energy president.

On Biden's first day in office in 2021, he reinstated or strengthened over 100 environmental regulations that Trump weakened or removed during his tenure.
