should Tiger Woods retire ?
One tournament does not forecast the future but......last place at the Masters ?
It will be very difficult for him to contemplate retiring, as he still has the burning desire. But his plans seem to be to only play in the 4 majors......the 4 most difficult ones to win.
It is doubtful Tiger can even win a regular PGA tournament. He hasn't won anything in 5 years. It is almost bordering on hubris to just go for the 4 majors.

It's a very good question, and I think the answer might very well be yes. Tiger, leave us with the good memories and not these recent images of a broken down player. There's no way his body can hold up for four rounds good enough to win a major, even on the senior tour. One bad swing out of the rough at a US Open and his back could be permanently injured, if it isn't already.
I write this in great sorrow because I was a huge fan from the beginning. His ability to outperform his expectations was like nothing I've ever seen. That first Masters, I think he was four over after the first nine, then he fixed his swing and maybe carded 70 for the first round, and then went on to win - amazing. And that's only one of countless highlights. Anyone else remember the birdie on 17 at Sawgrass - was that a major, or "just" the Player's Championship? I thought he would win 30 majors easily but then came the crash, literally and figuratively, in 2009.
He must have been under so much pressure from Earl that he finally snapped when Earl died and his other habits came to light. So self-destructive. (Said with no irony as a hobbyist who cheats on his wife with paid women, lol).

He did make the cut at the Masters. On day three he could not handle the winds and his game fell apart. I would say go the rest of this golf season and next year. He is 48 now, 50 would be a good age to retire. He might get one more major if he does not have any more weird injuries (car accidents). I don't think he will tie Jack Nicklaus for 18 major titles. Before the incident with his first wife Tiger was on a roll. Despite all of that he came back and won the Masters five years ago. I think there is still a little left.

It's time for him to quit, he's got nothing to prove, has more than enough money and is just embarrassing himself.

Then the follow up to the above:
If Tiger had chosen the lifestyle of Jack and Arnie, he would have 22 majors.
The reason he doesn't: women
Very appropriate for this site.

That is true. However, Tiger has always wanted to win 18 major tournaments. He is in second place with 15. Even if Woods could get back to where he was 5 years ago when he won his last Masters, it would be tough for him to get the other three before he turns 50.

The first automobile accident yes, (when the x wife saw his cell phone) started the downward trend. I don't think the second car accident that he had in Calif had anything to do with women. Not sure why he was going so fast to lose control of the vehicle. That second accident really messed him up physically. A lot of people didn't think he would be able to play on the regular tour again after that one.

impossible. the car wreck did him in as a PGA winner let alone a Major.

his wifey accident didn't hurt him at all. ah did he bump his noggin? boohoo. his cheating was nothing more than an embarrassment that didn't affect his Golf. what did is the PGA banning PEDs which to be fair were legal for the bulk of Tiger's early pro career but you can see the wear of Golf causing him issues and now he can't recover as fast.
Woods had a chance to catch Jack before the car wreck. he's lucky he kept his leg but he can't walk a PGA course for 4 days and play well now. but hey, at 50 he can join the Senior tour and ride the cart.
bahhahaaa

When asked the question should he retire, thst reminds me of several professional athletes that today we all say should of retired: Larry Bird (layed Courtside), Michael Joedan (WA Wizzards), Dave Draveky(cancer)...all were amazing athletes who took their body too far.
Yes Tiger should retire or find the fountain of youth.

Tiger Woods is even par at the first 5 holes of the PGA. It's only 5 holes but he is off to a decent start. Go Tiger, hope your body holds up. If he can make the cut anything can happen on days 3 and 4. Keep that ball on the fairway on your "T" shot and will have a chance.

Tiger didn't make the cut. not even close. the course is playing "hot" and the leader posted -12 with another golfer at -11. rarely is the cut below par but the cut was -1.
Woods shot +6 and missed the cut by a mile. he'll never win on the PGA again. he might have a bit of a resurgence in two years when he's eligible for the Seniors tour. they let the Seniors use carts.
