Oh Tom, say it ain't so.
Tom Hanks and Glenn Frey perform in racist skit. Too bad for the man who could have been president.

Like so many rich, yet niave Hollywood types, Tom Hanks has morphed into what is called a "usefull idiot" for the Democrat Party.
We as ordinarry mortals forget that just because an "artist" can carry a tune, read a script, or give brilliant oratory, does not make him an authority on other matters.

I'm not sure the term useful idiot is really appropriate for Tom Hanks; he is far worse than that.
In political jargon, useful idiot is a pejorative term used to describe people perceived as propagandists for a cause whose goals they do not understand, who are used cynically by the leaders of the cause
The term implies that if the person being used was aware of the true nature of the cause he's serving he would no longer support the cause.
Tom Hanks has his own production company (Playtone). He has produced or co-produced several major movies and HBO series. He writes and directs. He is far from an idiot. Hanks is participating in the left's cause with his eyes wide open, fully aware of, and in support of the left's cause. He knows exactly what he's doing.
Tom Hanks is no more a useful idiot than Saul Alinski was. The people that watch Hank's movies and put money in his pocket are the useful idiots.

The Hollywood heavyweights like Steven Speilberg, Robert Redford, David Geffen, Jeffrey Katzenberg and Harvey Weinstein are extremely useful to the left's agenda. Not only do they spread the left's message but they are also a major source of campaign funding.
The socialists have been using Hollywood for decades to brainwash the American public. Ideas that were once an anathema to Americans have become accepted as normal because of the constant exposure to the left's message disguised as entertainment. I wonder if some movies aren't written with the political content agreed on first and then the entertainment aspect put in as an afterthought; "a spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down".
The left has always understood the value of propaganda in gaining power. Hitler was very much aware of the power of propaganda and used it effectively in the leadin to World War II and during the war. Hitler's minister of propaganda, Joseph Goebbles, openly admitted that his knowledge of how to use propaganda was mainly derived from the writing of an American named Edward Bernays.
Edward Bernays was Sigmund Freud's nephew. He had a profound understanding of Freud's insights into the nature of the subconscious mind and used those insights to basically invent what we now call public relations. Bernays himself coined the term public relations because he thought it sounded less nefarious than propaganda. The basic principals formulated by Bernays have been used in advertising since the 1930's. They have also been systematically used by the left to change public opinion in order to gain power.
To a large extent Americans have been converted into useful idiots.

Good Lord, what is talk radio if not right wing propaganda?
Do you understand that Joe McCarthy went on a witch hunt back in the fifties, the blow back was probably due to that attack from the right.
I grew up on John Wayne, who made a fortune with right leaning themes.
People that watched Forrest Gump do not think about who the actors or producers support politically, only nuts like us take that kind of shit into consideration. And to be honest, I do not think about the party affilation of some actor. So only nuts like you think about stupid shit like that. You'd be great in 6 degree's of seperation! LOL

Wikipedia is open source. If I had picture of you, I'd submit it as a picture of a useful idiot. Right wing radio has political content and it's conservative. The founding fathers wrote the Federalist Papers in order to convince the states that they should ratify the constitution. From your point of view the Federal Papers were propaganda. As much as anything, talk radio is all about defending the constitution and advocating for a limited government that is restrained by the constitution.

Robert Redford has been busy. His movie “The Conspirator” was an obvious swipe at Guantanamo and Military Tribunals. But in presenting the trial of Mary Surratt, Redford had to clumsily rewrite history to fit his agenda. Plus, there was his anti-Afghanistan war movie, “Lions for Lambs”.
George Cooney’s movie, “Good Night, Good Luck”, was a much more stylish and subtle condemnation of the Bush administration. It’s a good movie, but recognizing why it was made is just as important as the credible story in the movie.
Sean Penn's movie about Valerie Plame, "Fair game", is an out and out distortion of facts and events.
"So it goes. Poo-tee-weet."

donate? my money? are you kidding me, we will raise taxes on you?
Big Hollywood gets tons of tax subsidies
just thought i'd get that in there
people in hollywood are great at pretension
they have gone so long pretending things, either fake teeth, hair implants, elevator shoes, and brains that how can they ever stop
they are liberals because they dont think or they pretend liberal thinking to get jobs, they dont want to be black balled. some pretend it so well they begin to believe it in their conscious brain.
no one believes liberal thinking in their subconscious brain, the brain that you live and die by, the brain that is you. you believe liberal positions in your "greed" brain, the part of you that is protective of your benefits and protective of your leisure.
now yes, many people want to take advantage of liberal positions for themselves for it might mean money, but they dont believe those positions to be correct in their subconscious brain, perhaps in their conscious brain they do and they might swear they do and mean it.
its easy for someone in hollywood to be a liberal, for what they espouse does not harm them, and they can seem so caring and of course its less career threatening and they are so above the potential damage of their positions. the harm is only to America in the long term. and of course its very ego boosting to be honored by being close to power.
they really arent liberals in action, they will stop the great unwashed masses if they could from using the beach in front of thier mansions. and their carbon footprint? come on!
