Okay, this will seem like a stupid pet peeve but here goes.....

Recently on a trip out west, I contacted 2 or 3 possible providers about my plans and their availability. Each time I made it very clear that while travelling I would have limited or no email access. I provided information for references.

I even provided a number and days that they could contact me if necessary.

So once there I attempt some follow up with some of those contacted by email, and even attempt a contact or two by phone with a couple of others to check availability.

With a couple of them I make it clear that, once understanding their availability, I will attempt to contact them IF and WHEN I would be free to see if their schedule will match mine.

So I've made it clear that I will call them back, again IF and WHEN I'm able to.....Later I get some messages/calls from some along the lines of "when are you calling? when are you coming by?" etc.

WTF?

I realize time and scheduling is important. I certainly wouldn't expect anyone to be ready at the drop of a hat, or pants. What is so hard to understand that I will call you if I am able to get free and see what your schedule is like? If you get another call I'd certainly expect you to take it.

Am I doing something wrong? Am I giving the wrong impression about what I'm calling about? Am I wasting the provider's time?

Maybe this doesn't happen to anyone else. Maybe others can be more free or more organized with their time that they can lock down a session. But things like this will happen even locally sometimes.

Willing to listen to all thoughts or comments.

No I dont think you are doing anything wrong, and if providers are calling you then they are very unprofessional. Sounds like to me they only care about dollars signs. While I understand that business can get slow at times and some girls will do anything to get the fast buck there is no excuse to call a gentlemen on his phone who hasnt even booked a appt. Most of us understand that things come up, schedules are hard to manage and work around but until you confirm a appt its not really a appt.

Going solely on your word, you seemed to have made it clear to them. But, some ladies will assume that since you emailed your references and wanted to know their schedule that you would be booking an appointment with them. Maybe they're hurting for money and figured that calling you would give you that push to see them.

I can only speak for myself, but if a gent sends me his references, tells me he'd like to see while in town, I'm going to assume that he wants to book a session. I will make a phone call/email to let him know that his references either checked out or didn't work. If the references check out, then I let him know of my availability. He'll decide to either book or not, but I won't "hound him."

If he doesn't book at the time of my call or an email, then that's the chances he takes. I rarely take a short notice appointment, but I do try to accommodate my potential clients/clients as much as possible.

I get calls all the time asking me if I'm available at a certain time, if I am that I ask them if they'd like to set an appointment with me. If they say, "No, I'll call back and check," I don't leave that time open, I'll book it a different client or I'll go live my "real life." But, I NEVER call them back asking such questions as you stated.

Sorry that happened, but I do have to ask....where did you find the ladies? Not that it matters a whole lot, but a lot of ladies don't run this as a business.

To answer Ms Elena's question on where do I find the ladies?

Usually start on Backpage. Possibly even escorts dot com. Then I will check on here for any sort of history, and as in the case of this trip out west to Denver, on TOB.

Unfortunately, in one aspect, for me, when travelling I usually end up seeing family so my planning can be difficult.

I am certainly understanding of the "real life" and just other things that can affect someone's schedule. And in a listing or website you might not find what someone's schedule is; sometimes you can though. For those who don't list a schedule or can't, that's why I would contact them to even just see if they work on a Friday, or weekends or whatever!

Darlin', you did everything right. Like Raina and myself said, some ladies just aren't professional when it comes to this business. There's too many shady people in this business and those are the ones who make it hard for us ladies who are professional and try to do right by our clients.

Tell ya what....Next time I'm in Lincoln, I'll give you a few days notice and give you a discount to make up for your recent problems.

Your problem is that in some areas, Backpage ladies aren't up on the protocols of Board ladies. In other areas, you would have been alright.

so very true!! every area is different and when scouting bp you sometimes have to be abit more careful... i always recommend no matter what site you found the ad on, you should check that lady out!
