Default Intelligence

Travel-the main airport is JKIA in Nairobi. There's another big airport on the coast in Mombassa that has some direct flights from Europe. From the US you'll have to transfer in Europe to get a flight from there to Nairobi or Mombassa. There's talk that Kenya Airways will soon start having some direct flights from the US (it didn't meet international air safety standards before lol).

Transportation-taxis are in every city. It costs about $10USD for a 30 minute trip. I got comfortable in awhile to taking the prevalent matatus (buses/vans) that are only about 50 cents/trip, or a boda boda (motorcycle) that are also everywhere and cost a third of taxis.

Hotel info and reviews-the big and nice ones (international standards) are in Nairobi and on the coast. They are upwards of $200-300/night. If you look around you can find a non-international standard hotel (which I use for fucking the beautiful Kenya girls) for $10 USD.

Police-don't rely on them. They are all corrupt. Just stay out of trouble. Even to talk to one of them or see them will cost you a small bribe (2000-10,000 bob). This is another reason why I don't drive here. Traffic stops are everywhere and 250 bob is the standard bribe to get thru.

Restaurants and Bars-there's Steers Restaurants around Nairobi (fast food) which is safe and clean. There's 5 star restaurants in Nairobi. Just get a Kenya girl to make you your meal, tho lol. That's truly what they feel one of their purposes in life is. They are hurt/disappointed if they can't feed you. The food is great here. Its a ALOT healthier than eating in the US. Everything is fresh (literally a day or two from the ground), not processed. Its soo damn healty. My weight dropped from !75 to 135 lbs. eating the food hear. A lot of rice and beans. Beef, goat and chicken are common also. I'm a vegetarian.

Airline information-see above.

Travel Documents-have to apply online for a tourist visa you'll pickup at the airport on entry.

Currency exchange-at the airport convert some money into local Kenya currency. You can do additional exchanges at the local banks in the country. Currently $1 USD = about 100 Kenya shillings. $10 USD = 1,000 shillings. A girl can give you a good time for 1000 - 4000 shillings (or bob as they say here) just depending on how much you want to give her. The locals get for as little as 250 bob. But cut them some slack and give them some money. They need it. Don't cheap out.

ATMs-in all cities.

Internet access-terrible. The only wired internet access is in Nairobi thru Zuku. Otherwise, you have to access 3G internet over the air through Safaricom or Airtel (see below) (4g only in Nairobi). Their coverage is limited to the cities and towns. In the countryside you may not be able to access.

Telephone-GSM. Buy a sim card at the airport or in any kiosk on the street every 50 feet. A sim card costs about $1.50 (150 Kenya shilings). Phone calls are about 3 bob/minute. Safaricom has the best coverage and service. Airtel #2, and Orange #3. You can pick up a cheap non-smart phone if you need in a prevalent mobile shop for about 2000 bob $20 USD.

Sexual Enhancement Drugs (Viagra, Levitra, Cialis, and other alternatives)-I don't use despite my advanced age lol. Available at chemist shops in Nairobi OTC no prescription needed. Sparse in other places.

Language-Englishh is the official national language, along with Kiswahili. There are many local languages and dialects, tho. In the cities and towns you'll be ok with English.

Car Rentals-at the airport, or check online ads or newspapers. I would never drive myself here, tho: traffic is nuts, the non-roads are a mess, they don't have any road signs anywhere, and its plain crazy. You can hire a driver for $10-20/day.

Taxi information-see above.
