"Give it to me good, Daddy"
Please help me to understand something.
I have a dear friend who is calling her newest lover, "Daddy". I, personally, find this repulsive but I'm willing to learn and open up my mind to other viewpoints. Honest!
My disgust with this term has probably always been at a just below the surface level but it wasn't until a couple of years ago that I was pawing this guy who was 15 years my junior and he said, "Elisabeth, call me your Daddy". He asked me twice and in true Elisabeth fashion, I just said no.
I never admitted to being the best escort out there. And he just shrugged and was a good sport about it. When I asked a few ladies about that situation, they told me that I acted the fool. Alright. I accepted the criticism.
SO ... I have this feeling that if I'm at a very nice restaurant and my friend asks her lover, "Please pass the wasabi, Daddy", that I'm going to roll my eyes and start to slightly choke on my sushi.
I'm asking the dear readers here to assist me with my bad attitude. Who knows, maybe you can be my next "daddy"? I highly doubt it but any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Elisabeth

I can't help you, because I agree with you. Incest fantasies do not turn me on.
I have no problem using the word "baby," because to me it has a broader meaning. But I don't need someone calling me "daddy" - especially in that context.

I think the term means more of whos in control, who makes you happy, who can make you laugh, and scream. Not so much of being incest or your parental figure.

Nope, I don't get it either. Regardless of the context, for me that's a total turn-off. I've had a few providers who slipped it in during a session and it's like slamming on the breaks. Instant softee and back to the beginning

Yeah, maybe it's kind of related to the old phrase "Who's your Daddy?"
Which does mean - who's the boss?, who's the king? ....Mack-Daddy, Big Daddy etc.
That kind of thing.
If it is an incest fantasy, then I could see how it would be disgusting.
Calling a lady "Momma" or "Foxy Momma" is similar and harmless unless you take it to the level of calling her Mother or Mommy...then it gets weird too.

I dated a woman a couple of years ago that said something like "fuck me daddy" while I had her bent over the arm of the couch. My dick shriveled into my chest somewhere near my lungs and I came up with a reason to break up with her two days later. Just too weird for me.

Think . . .
"sugar daddy". Maybe that will ease the feeling. Or, oth, she could have unresolved Oedipal complex. Better pitied than censured. IMO

The idea that when my sugar baby calls me "daddy" (which she does when she wants something and during play, so all the time) literally means she thinks of me as her father is ridiculous. (She also calls me "Boo," although I don't know why. I don't think it's because she thinks I'm a ghost.) It's just a playful sign of affection, just like when I call her "baby." When I call her "baby," I don't literally mean she's my child. Just like when I call a guy "chief" I don't mean he wears an Indian headdress, or when I call a guy "Ace" I don't mean he looks like a playing card, or "asshole" I don't (necessarily) mean he's brown and wrinkly. (Come to think of it, she has also called me "asshole.")

The way my sb says, "Thank you, Daddy" has nothing to do with my progeny. Nada, zero, zip. Maybe I compartmentalize, but it doesn't make me think about them either.

I totally agree with this assessment, for you John. It will be a very personal reaction for each of us and so we shouldn't use our own experience with which to base others reactions.
As for me, the term "Daddy" has been exclusively used to describe the male parental unit. I always addressed my father as "Daddy" to his face until his death at age 79. My daughters have called me "Daddy" all their lives. With such a strong association it's hardly surprising that when a provider once called me "Daddy" Cap'n Little Sailor & his crew immediately aborted the mission for the duration.

Caling a gent "daddy" in bed is about as sexy and appealing as a gent calling the female "little girl" in bed, as in "Is my little girl going to let me fuck her good today?".
Yuk.

Most of the time when you hear this,
It has nothing to do with father like figure. NOTHING AT ALL.
Its hard to explain and no the men aren't pretending that you are there little girl.
Thats just sick.
But to some men its a power trip. Can't Explain why.
MSNBC Did a story on this not to long ago.
There is some interesting views on this subject.
Take a peak!

I think its weird, I'm sure to some people it might mean other things, but the father figure meaning is what pops into my head when I hear someone say that so it would freak me out too

I going with "weird" on this one. If it happened to me it would creep me out a little.
