Default Harley Davidson FXR

Anyone own one or ever ride an HD FXR? I am looking into buying an unmolested one with an EVO (not a shovel head). What are your opinions on this discontinued model that I think was a mistake for HD to stop manufacturing.

Maybe Harley Davidson was not making a decent return on manufacturing the FXR.

I can't speak to the FXR, but love the EVO engine from HD. Had a 1998 Road King with the EVO and wish I had held on to it.

I personally own a fxrs 1991. Bought it brand new. I love this bike. Its sporty and light weight. I have had a cam and carb kit put in when I first bought it. It will run with any bike all day long. I have logged in more that 66,000 miles on it. It handles good. This year I bought a ultra glide and I kept the fxrs also. Glad I did. They are totally different ride but I like both. I would sell the ultra before I would dell my fxrs. So yea I like the fxrs and will always keep it. I hope this helps.
