How did you get into hobbying? (Question for the gents AND ladies)

I haven't been a provider for that long... Only about a year.
I started escorting after I moved to Texas, and couldn't live off my part-time cashier job.
I actually did my first call with an agency, who I found using a YellowBook app on my phone...
I sent her a few pics of me, and waited for her to call me back to do an outcall.
The woman sent me on a very successful call.. I drove to see a CEO of an elevator company who had just come back home from London and lived in a huge house and the appointment was well over $1,000 for less than an hour.
It was a great start, in my opinion, and I made more money than any regular job I'd ever had.
While I was with the agency for about a month, I wasn't entirely truthful and kept wayy more money that the lady knew about, and I stopped working with her.
I started posting on my own on backpage in December of last year, and was doing my thing on there until I met someone on ECCIE who saw my ad and helped me set up an account on here in May.
There are a lot of weirdos and crazies trolling backpage, so now I'm only posting on ECCIE and I'm sooo glad I found this board!

I have always thought of myself as a sexual person, but never knew this side of the business existed. I only knew about street girls, and that wasn't a place I ever saw myself. I had just started college and was your typical poor college kid. I had a profile on yahoo, before Facebook and Myspace were big. It had my photo and a little bit about me. My first hobby experience was in an Asian Massage place in Missouri - I was 18 and still a virgin. I had called the place and asked about prices previously - and I decided I wanted to see the inside of the place. So, I walked in with too little money for a session (on purpose, so they would MAKE me leave), and checked it out.

I was staying in Truckee, NV at a B&B while on a skiiing trip to Tahoe. Each day I drove to the ski resort I drove by a "Ranch" and it piqued my curiousity so after a long day of skiing I decided to stop in and check it out. I was only 26 and so naive that after I entered and all the ladies introduced themselves I sat on a sofa in the livingroom area like a deer in headlights. Great question. Until about 2 years ago, I never knew that this sight or anything like it existed as I was busy working my ass off and would never had thought of participating in the hobby. After I retired and realized there was absolutely no passion in my life, I started looking things up on the computer and discovered ECCIE. After careful thought, I contacted a provider that had great reviews, and after she screened me which was not easy since I was an newbie and did not want to give out my real name and address. She finally said OK and I rediscovered the passion that had been missing in my life. I realize that this is only a brief encounter but when you are with a truly gifted provider, those brief encounters can last a long time in the memory. After that first visit, I became a hobbyist and have enjoyed it. Whenever I meet someone who I believe is the one, I soon find someone who is even better. You ladies are amazing and I hope to meet more of you. Keep up the good work.

I was a virgin 49 years ago after my freshman year in college. I complained to my cousin that college girls would only go so far.
