Thanks for the LIES

(Edit add: I originally called this "Thanks for the Misinformation." But that isn't a real word, and it let's liars off easy. There is no sense in trying to be politically correct or polite with people who lie and take advantage of others)

The area I live in was hit pretty hard by Milton. No loss of life or serious injury. But lots of property damage. Lots.

Ya know what didn't help?

The Trump-fan neighbor who went up and down the street telling us all that "the town won't even clean the streets unless they get FEMA money, and FEMA already spent it on illegal immigrants."

The town started clean-up the very next day.

But half the people on my street are probably worried they won't get any help because of all of the lies that they have been told.

Disinformation and lies have always been part of politics. But we have a new normal, encouraged by a candidate who is a life-long con man. He does this only for his own benefit. It is despicable, dangerous, and damaging to society overall.

I tire of repeating myself when I warn Trump supporters that "your grandchildren will judge you harshly for this."

I hope they live long enough to fix the mess that you are helping to make. But the outlook is not encouraging.

I am past joking about this situation. Recent events have helped me to focus more on what is truly important. A bunch of lying shills on a hooker site are very near the bottom of that.

I don't hate any of you. But I hate what you are supporting and what it has done to your sense of reason and objectivity.

The lies, intolerance, and insensitivity that you support is immoral.

Nothing further needs to be said about it.

I'm not going to change anyone's mind here. And not going to waste much more time trying. I will call out the worst of your bullshit once in awhile, but otherwise...have at it. Keep convincing each other that Trump will make this all better.

What could go wrong?
