I would recommend staying along West I-40. That is a nicer part of town with nicer hotels.

I forgot to ask about healthy food in Amarillo.

The only Cajun food place I know is the Lost Cajun. It is pretty good. It is at Georgia St & I-40. You may want to try Scott’s Oyster Bar.
If you want a pretty good steak at a moderate price would be Hoffbrau or Coyote Bluff. If you want the best tourist attraction it would be The Big Texan. If you want an elegant (but expensive meal) it would be the Drunken Oyster or OHMS.
As far as chicken you can get a good meal almost anywhere in town.

Hoffbrau wow haven't heard that name in long time. They were in Houston. Might enjoy a steak with that sauce. Lazy Gator sounds like a winner also.
Who knows I just might stop in Lubbock and pick Nikki up and bring her with me.

My concern for Amarillo is time
wasters.
I already have one so far.
It's very irritating for someone to bug you all day yesterday and then will not confirm an appointment and going silent.

Well this is sad. Nikki and I are cancelling our trip to Amarillo due to low balling, bare back requests and time wasters.
