Dropping like flies — Texas Congressman Will Hurd becomes 8th GOP House member to “retire.”
Hurd is one of the good guys.
Unfortunately for Trump and the Turd Reich, he has a conscience and will not seek re-election.
He’s the last African American Republican in the House and the third Texas GOP congressman to flee the sinking ship.
It’s going to be hard to run a successful campaign in 2020 with a 275-pound piece of stupid shit hanging around your neck, as we saw last November.
The Rs are being backed into a corner by Trump.

Yup, and as he said he's headed to better pastures in the private sector.
Ain't capitalism great.
He said nothing along the lines you are trying to paint.

Yep, Republicans do their stint in congress and then move on. As the Framers intended. 41 retired in 2018. Someone will have to chisel the gavel out of Pelosi’s rigor mortis clenched hands.

There’s no recognizable Republican party left. The trump party has cowed those who still have loyalty to the US who now aide and abet the continued attack on democracy. Moscow Mitch will not be treated well by historians.

Hurd barely won re-election in 2018.
That district will be blue again (along with all of those big counties) in 2020.
From the responses, it appears as though some of you fellaz believe in Congressional term limits.
I do too.

What’s your point, and why are you hijacking yet another thread with your silliness?
Hurd won by less than 1,000 votes.
He and the rest of the Texas delegation have an enormously unpopular Albatross hanging around their necks for 2020, in a state so pissed off they nearly elected Beto O’Rourke to the Senate.
It isn’t about private sector money, it’s about the ratings stars, right, bb1961!
Five star response!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

Hurd won and Beto lost. Period. You forgot all the Hollywood money that poured into ORourke’s campaign. Are Hollywood stars “pissed” off Texans too? No, but you are. And, unfortunately for you, you will continue to be pissed off.

And you are absolutely correct according to his own statements.
He didn't say its about private sector money, but I'm sure it's going to be good to him.
You should read your own linked articles sometime for the actual facts and not the bullshit you are trying to throw out.

We shall see about that House district.
Depends on who the Republicans nominate, and the DPST candidate will carry the weight of the DPST platform for socialism , free stuff, and economic stupidity, not to mention Support for radical Islamic terrorism, Racist anti-Semitism, and appeasing Iran and other radical Islamic theocracies.
That won't fly well in Texas.

Federal election, bambino. Limited individual contributions.
Beto took no PAC money.
Get your facts straight.
And save the insults for another forum.

Republicans have no chance in this district. In the best of times, it’s flipped back and forth a number of times.
And now the GOP have to deal with the consequences of their complicity with the Turd Reich.
