Colette Club - What To Expect?

I just got a new girlfriend, and she is just a freaky as I am. We have never been to a swingers' club, but we have talked about going.

I've heard some good things about Colette, mostly about the atmosphere and how nice people are. Beyond that, I don't know much about it or what to expect. Here are some questions I have below (again... I am new to this, so please pardon my ignorance):

1. Do they have a shower room? If so, is it an open shower (where anyone can join) or is it a private shower?

2. If they do have a shower room, do they provide soaps, towels, washcloths, etc...?

3. Can you really walk around naked at the club outside of having sex (my friend told me he went to a club at a different state and being nude is totally acceptable... not sure if it applies here)? Are there certain areas where you can be naked vs areas you have to wear clothes? Or... is clothing optional once you are inside after a certain hour?

4. What are the play areas like? Do they have beds all in one room? Is there an area where people can watch?

5. What are the best days to go, and what time does the club start to get busy?

6. I heard they have a movie room where you can watch porn movies. Are you allowed to masturbate in that room with your significant other or do other sexual acts in there while watching the movies?

7. What are the age ranges of people that usually go? I am 26 and my girlfriend is 23.

8. What's the situation on single women and single men? Do a lot of single men attend? Do a lot of single women attend?

9. I've read a review of Colette once. A person said that sex rarely happens here. How often do people engage in threesomes, group sex, etc? Is that common or rare here?

10. Do they provide condoms, lube, and other sex items?

Before you do anything, have a frank and honest discussion with your GF about expectations and interests. What exactly are you and the GF hoping to do at a swingers club? Are you looking for couples? Single bi females? (not likely to happen FYI), A single male for a 3 sum? Soft swap? Full swap? Gangbang? Sex party? BDSM type of play? Voyeurism? Exhibitionism?

I'm not sure how or why this club has this "AMAZING" reputation, because it is anything but amazing, even in the Dallas area. Collettes is a clean, nice setup and essentially the opposite of Lidos, which I wouldn't recommend you go to either. I went to Club emannualle in Frankfurt and that place was awesome by comparison, they had a full locker room, backyard patio, hot tub, and served hot food for my 100 Euro adventure, and I mean a leg of pork, fruit, salad, bread, rice, etc... open bar. The German club was worth the 100 Euros. Collettes is not.

Getting your expectations aligned with your partner and going to the right kind of event/place is most important. If you just want to see what one version of a swing club is like, pay your $100, but you'll probably be disappointed.

I would try every other club in DFW BEFORE you go to Collettes, try the velvet curtain, Players DFW, go to a few private events. Go on SDC and setup a profile and go to a party on there, then if you are bored or can't find something to your liking go to Collettes and see how "amazing" it compares.

2. This is the kind of club that charges for parking, $5 for a bottle of water, and charges for ICE! If they had a shower, there would be a meter running charging by the ounce.

Yes, nobody is going to really care, though. This is a play lite club, and people don't really go there to have sex. I didn't see anyone walking around nude, but most of the women were in very little dress. I saw a women take her shirt off on the dance floor when I was there. That said, I saw the same thing at strip clubs and paid way less than $125 for the pleasure.

In the area where single guys can go, there are no beds at all and the play areas suck. The play areas are tiny, like 200SF MAYBE at best. They have these cushioned platforms kinda about waist high that you can jump on with sheer curtains in front. This is so people can watch or have semi-private play if exhibitionism or voyeurism is your thing. All in all, not the best setup for play that I have seen.

Best day to go? The day after you have visited every other swing/kink/lifestyle club in Dallas and decided you've had way too much fun and want a change of pace. It usually gets busy around 10-11 or so.

You will be the youngest people there, by probably a decade. Average age is around 40 generally in swinging.

No single men of substance go there, as far as in shape, hung dudes who can fuck, and generally not many single dudes will be there. On any given Friday, there may be a few single dudes there. Can you find a 55 year old fat dude with a micro penis and 3 minutes of power? I'm sure you can. Will your GF want to fuck one? Probably not. Most of the good looking, hung, in shape people go to private events, hotel parties, etc..

As an example of how bad it is and unfriendly the club is to single dudes, someone on fetlife tried to organize a cuckold event where single dudes would be allowed in free for a meet and greet for 2 hours before with the express idea of meeting couples to fuck the wife, but would have to be with a couple and pay $125 if they were going to be allowed to stay. This was on a Saturday. If you weren't with a couple, you had to leave. Guess what happened? All the single dudes left before the cutoff time

There will almost certainly be between 0-3 single women there. Single bi women are called unicorns for a reason in the lifestyle, and they are very rare and every couple will be chasing them. The single women there may be old enough to be your mom. Will you want to fuck them? Entirely your call.

Nothing is going to happen at Collettes that won't happen at any other swing club in DFW on any given night. More exciting things might happen at other swing clubs that won't happen at Collettes.

Ok, so my girlfriend and I went to Colette last night for the Halloween party. After going to Colette, here are my thoughts:

-I loved the atmosphere. Very sexually charged.

-It's a nice place, but too small. My girlfriend and I went back to the giant sex room (where there is a huge bed and chairs all around for people to watch). When we got there, it was already packed and every time we tried to enter the room, the people sitting down would get annoyed with us because we were obstructing their view. Same with the other rooms also... way too small and got packed way to quickly.


-The porno movie room... great concept, badly executed. Again... this is my first time going to a swingers club and my first time a Colette, so I am not sure if the movies are always this bad. However, the films looked like porno movies from the 1980s... there haircuts, the lightning of the film, their clothes all reeked of oldddddd. Not only that, a majority of the people in the films were white. There was only 1 Asian in the film and 1 black female in the film, but that's it. Honestly, they should just get an internet connection, and build a PornHub or Xvideos playlist and have that playlist run throughout the night. And they should also have more porno films that show black people, Asians, Hispanics, etc.


-The beds in the playroom were a bit distracting as well. When my girlfriend and I sat in the bed to play, it was damp with disinfect spray and you could still smell the spray, so it was distracting.

Other than that... it was a nice place and my girlfriend and I are going to go again soon... BUTTTT not on a night that is that busy.
