Hot,hot and hotter. ..but now I can relax

So my trips have detoured me and made me late a few times! This trip was much different. I STARTED having car issues an hour into the trip..warning on dash a/c off due to high engine temp..oookk..ended up w No ac the rest of the way..during which my phone was charging an a screen popped up on my phone that said charging stopped due to overheating..and me?? Yes, I was extremely hot. Both physically and mentally! Worst part sitting on the side of the highway in rush hour, 15 mins from my destination and the thermostat needle,went all the way to HOT and dash displayed

,engine idle. Scary!!

I am glad to be here and look forward to the next couple days.

You may want to have that engine looked at. That overheating cam ruin it.

Be careful overheating your engine, that can turn into a costly repair quickly. I see it all the time.

The last time I had an engine overheat like that, I had a bad oil pressure gage: I was out of oil. That is why the engine got hot.

The engine was cracked, and the car had to be scrapped.

Watch your engine oil.

Thank you I was out of antifreeze
I'll be leaving earlier than planned to avoid the extreme heat, just incase( I know that will help) but I am pretty sure the issue was fluids.
