Bear with me --- have some questions

I'm departing Sunday for my first visit ever to the ME to Dubai. I've read the forums here and on the ISI Guides. Still have a few questions and appreciate any help you can provide -- PM or posted. I'm staying at Hotel Grosvenor near the "marina". Is there much WG action at this hotel??? Older posts suggest that there is not much action/action is higher priced at the two main bars/clubs -- Budda Club and Bar 44. Can anyone confirm this? Is the Grosvenor still WGF?

I also have the list of the hotel bars to frequent: TGIT, Jockeys, Imperial, York, Rockafellas, Rumours, Seaview, Rattlesnake, Premiere, Jules,Broadway, etc. For me (a newbie to Dubai), which bar would you recommend? Can I take someone I meet at one of these bars back to the Grosvenor or do I have to get a room at the hotel with the bar?

Lastly, I would enjoy hooking up with a CIS/Russian gal. If anyone had any direct recommentations, I would very much appreciate it. Please PM me. I can't share any Dubai reviews yet but I would gladly give you advice on cities that I know (e.g., Boston).

I'm not sure about the Grosvenor. A lot of the hotels simply ask that your temporary "guest" provide a copy of her passport and leave it with the desk. Some don't even require that and a few have a strict "no guest" policy. It just depends on each particular hotel. Tipping your concierge well and asking him about the guest policy will answer the question about your particular hotel. Can't recommend bars for Russians other than the Moscow Hotel bar. Quality is so so and most Russians in Dubai are way overpriced IMO. That's why I don't know too many Russian joints. The York does have a few Russians in there as well, maybe 10-20%. The rest will be Asian and African as far as the York goes. I've stuck to the Imperial (Staying Alive club), the York....ohh, the Broadway Hotel club also has Russian chicks. It's within walking distance of the Moscow Hotel. Both of those have Russians for sure. Good luck and happy hunting!

If russians are your flavor then check out the Rattlesnake, it has mostly eastern Europeans but has chinese as well as Phillipinos/Thai providers as well, be ready to pay premium prices for those Russian providers, IMHO the Radsky's as well as the sea view are much better options, I would avoid the york unless ghetto pussy is what you're after.

I was just there a couple of weeks ago, and stayed at the Moscow. One night I ventured over to the Broadway. This was on a Thursday night, so the cream of the crop should have been out. The bar is small, and very crowded. The selection was not that great either. To tell you the truth, I wouldn't waste my time if I was you. The girls were quoting the same prices as the girls in the Moscow, but only for an hour. Moscow prices are all night rates. If you want a Russian, just go to the Moscow.
