Default UH OH! NTrump takes time out from his busy go,f schedule to turn the nation’s focus back to the NFL. SURPRISE

What a busy guy.

Now he’s (HE) is threatening NFL players with fines and suspensions.

The league shelved the National A them protest issue pending an agreeable solution.

But this morning, after four traitorous troublemakers protested before their preseason games
Ask nignt, our kind and benevolent leader and guardian of all things correct took time away from attacking another ally to rain hellfire down on the NFL.

He’s still butt hurt about the USFL and subsequent rejection by the NFL.

So glad our national priorities are straight!

Trump renews attacks on NFL players, calling for suspensions
BY JACQUELINE THOMSEN - 08/10/18 08:44 AM EDT 1,316

President Trump on Friday renewed his attacks on NFL players who protest during the national anthem, claiming they “wanted to show their ‘outrage’ at something that most of them are unable to define.”

“The NFL players are at it again - taking a knee when they should be standing proudly for the National Anthem,” Trump tweeted.

"Be happy, be cool! A football game, that fans are paying soooo much money to watch and enjoy, is no place to protest," he continued. "Most of that money goes to the players anyway."

"Find another way to protest. Stand proudly for your National Anthem or be Suspended Without Pay!" Trump added.

Trump's new attack came a day after the first big slate of NFL pre-season games on Thursday night, during which players from several teams protested during "The Star-Spangled Banner."

They also came the day before a weekend anniversary of last summer's violence in Charlottesville, Va., where white supremacists marched in support of Confederate statutes and clashed with counter-protests demonstrating against racism. A woman was killed when a man drove a car into a crowd of people.

The president endured one of the most difficult moment's of his presidency when he blamed "both sides" for the violence.

The NFL had sought to end the controversy by imposing a new policy that would have prevented any players from kneeling or protesting during the national anthe

What does nfl stand for?

The f stands for felon. And the n stands for a word that rhymes with trigger.

How are you still posting under this handle Hump?

More importantly, what do you believe you're solving with your racist vitriol?

I assume there are some real redneck assholes who think you're pretty cool but that's on them.

LMAO!

I disagree with Trump and agree with the colored people on this issue. The USA sucks, mainly because how the liberals have fucked it up. Dissing the flag is a free speech issue, and I never salute the flag.

I certainly don't give a shit about the NFL, either. If those millionaire players want to complain about America and white people are stupid enough to pay to see them smash into each other, that's their problem.

People have an absolute right to speak their minds - including how they feel about colored people.

The Player's Union should remember that it is right in the NFL rule book that players are to STAND with their helmets removed for the National Anthem. Teams would be within their rights to fine or suspend these protesters. Just wait until the ratings fall again. People aren't going to pay hundreds of dollars for tickets and parking just to see a bunch of morons disrespect the country. Remember this all stated with Krapernick (as his own teammates have stated) kneeling to whine about his not starting.

the sports write Dan Wetzel disagrees with you assup.

Who's to blame for anthem controversy spreading into third season? The NFL, of course

https://www.yahoo.com/sports/whos-bl...143712410.html

you can read it if you like but some talking points ...

"Trump’s goal here, though, is likely to draw more players into protest as games continue this weekend. He accurately knows this is a winning political issue for him to exploit. The more it gets churned up, the more he is on the politically popular side. He has told NFL team owners as much and promised he won’t let up. Last season, Vice President Mike Pence flew to a San Francisco-Indianapolis game just so he could walk out after the anthem in supposed, and expected, outrage."

"Just about any politician would do the same. This is why they are politicians."

Notice the Democrats are largely silent on this. they know it's unpopular with voters to show disrespect for the National Anthem.

"This time, though, it’s the NFL’s fault. It reinvigorated everything by creating a weak and confusing new rule last spring that appeased no one."

"The league has tabled any player punishments as it continues to figure this out. Two years in and it still has nothing? No matter what you believe about the issue – stand or kneel – the one point of agreement is NFL leadership has made this worse for everyone."

"The league can demand everyone stand, a la the NBA. Citing that the pregame anthem comes when a player is at work and on the clock, it can mandate this behavior or punish the players."

did you know the NBA mandates players stand for the Anthem, assup? or is that just another "fake news" report?

"It could, smartly, change the pregame schedule and play the anthem while players and coaches are inside the locker room. That’s how the vast majority of college football programs do it, mostly because it allows for the exciting, tradition-rich manner of taking the field to rev up fans directly into kickoff."

"The league could improve the pregame and end this controversy in one swoop."

"Or the NFL could say it doesn’t care what the players do during the anthem and accept the consequences. The whole thing would likely fade out on its own – not a single player protested during the playoffs or Super Bowl last season."

my take? Either the NFL tells these spoiled overpaid athletes that once at the Stadium they are employees, which they are, and order them one and all to stand. and no one "hides" in the locker room. No raised fists either. this is what the NBA does. Or have the Anthem before players take the field as college games do.

Its those stupid owners. Goodell never should have been rehired. The only who pushed back was Jerry Jones.

Former NFL Commisoner Pete Rozelle wouldn't have tolerated this b.s.

the players should be fined. at some point, they also should be cut from the team.

don't think fans appreciate unpatriotic players who kneel. they really do not care about their beef.

Pity some of the friends i know, are STILL buying tickets, their love for the team overrides the hate they have for these kneeling/black power saluting morons..
