A few years ago a girl at work (good friends now) set me up at our first "team" event outside of work...imagine a lot of people sitting around a table at lake Austin (back when it had water) and doing the 20 questions game...she proceeds to get VERY personal. Again it was a setup of the new guy...one question was "why do you date women
1/2 your age"? (In the real world I have that earned rep). but it was a series of highly improper questions for a first time "business lunch", with 7 of us around the table. She Finally admitted that I had been set up.

Fast forward several months...April fools day...I had my daughter text her with a picture of a motorcyclist imbedded in the side of a car. Text was "I don't know if u r the right person but Dad has had a terrible accident...its touch and go right now".

Predictably she ran to our next level boss and blurted out the story in tears.

My boss smiled... Handed her my note that said "April fools...I told you I would tag you back"...

My response is usually just a smile. A few get to hear "because they have a passion for living not jaded through years of experience". Net is...in most cases they are more fun to hang out with.

Were I wanting to co-habitate {{{shudders}}} again I'd likely seek out someone closer to my advancing years.
