I recently discovered www.fetlife.com thanks to my kinkster friends and its such a great sex positive dating site!! I am completely addicted! It works similar to facebook just kink-aware and sexpositive. Anyone on there as well?

Every detail of the site....perfect.... I tried okcupid or other dating sites for my personal kink, but 90% of the mails i just have to trash right away . Not so on fetlife, the people are really really really cool and respectful when sending requests or inquiries!
Anyone experience?
Does it make sense to add my professional profile as well? Maybe?

Oh i am totally in that kind of community. Most of my private friends are :-). That is why i was so surprised i did nto know about that page til a week ago:-). I have never been too keen on internet dating (mostly you get only idiots to mail you) , but lately due to some trouble with one of my whatever kinds of involvements, i decided i want to sign up , posted a question on FB and everyone was recommending fetlife and okcupid. I like fetlife better, although okcupid is also surprisingly cool for a heteronormative dating page. Many polys there too. But i can`t hear anymore of these "oh, i have never tried poly but i can try with you" requests. aaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrghhhhhhhhhh hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh..........tha t was why fetlife is a real real relief for alternative lifestyle dating :-).

Ok , so Then i will put up my nina sastri stuff there too :-). Hehe cool you are on there, maybe we bump into each other and won`t even realize :-). I get a lot of requests from really hot women or couples (lol).....
My NYC friends do a lot of that fetish party and kinkster private party stuff. :-)

When CineKink Film Festival came to Vegas last summer, I was intrigued and so I had to attend some of their events. I met amazingly interesting filmmakers, scholars and kinksters and was impressed by how comfortable I was being exposed to a whole new world.

It was during that time that I also found out about fetlife and the Kink Academy. While the Kink Academy is not a dating site, there are many classes that they offer both on their home turf along with traveling.

I also discovered Tied Up Events and met with their founders. They are incredibly AWESOME and very supportive of sex workers. They also have workshops and just held their first conference.

Anyhow, Nina, I hope I didn't take away from your thread but your mention of Fetlife brought back a whirlwind of wonderful memories.
I'm not a member there but I know it is a supportive and REAL site. Enjoy it!

And unlike on other dating sites, every request i got was such lovely long and respectful email. That is the kinkster and BDSM community. That is why i love these folks.

On regular dating sites you get 90% trash from idiots who only write "hi wanna chat" which is so stupid that i removed my profile most often. I wonder what people think.

I find that a lot of kinksters are so respectful. I would venture to say 75% of my clientelle are kinksters. I have more intelligent, and meaningful experiences with them than anyone else. I really need to get more involved with fetlife. Thanks for the reminder, Nina.
