Excited About Dallas!!

Hi guys & gals,

I'm coming to Dallas in the next few days, I'm originally from Denver.

I've been to Dallas once for a day years ago, so I know nothing about Dallas!

Where are the best places to stay/avoid?
Where's all the good food?
How about the clubs...or anything else you think I should check out?

Thanks in advance, I look forward to visiting you guys & getting to know you! So far you Texas people seem so sweet & helpful!

Galleria has great hotels and shopping


also TIN STAR off the tollway in galleria is awesome mexican food

seriously???
based on 46+ yrs of eating mexican food from merida [yucatan] to mexico DF to nuevo laredo to juarez to san antonio to houston to san marcos to austin to dallas, i respectfully disagree.

while tin star's food is good, i wouldnt say it's awesome.
while a limited menu, i think taco cabana's food is better.
or mariano's hacienda ranch on preston just north of campbell.
or mario y albertos in the shopping ctr at the SW corner of Preston & I-635/LBJ.

i prefer mexican and tex-mex food that's truly mexican or tex-mex food.

well ya gotta kbow that I am not a "big" mexican food eater....and I am not into realy spicey food.......lol

Dallas diner is awesome food like mom makes.it is off beltline and near midaway
