Default ROMNEY, MY KIND OF GUY

Romney is my kind of guy; he legally stiffs the Federal Coffers (low tax rate), depriving the Uncle Sam of millions to waste, and gives most of his earnings away in private charitable contributions. I think last year his combined gifting (taxes and charities) was about 65% of his income! Wow.

I doubt if the Democrats can name anyone equal in their charitable contributions...certainly it isn't Obama or Biden.

The super rich Dimo's like Gates and Buffett give billions to charity; I applaud them for it. Their charitable contributions do beg the question, if you believe in social welfare provided by the government, why not just contribute directly to the government? By giving to charity, Gates and Buffett are essentially saying, that private charities do more good than the government. That's something conservatives have been saying all along.

That is because you are an idiot. Mitt wants to get rid of those charity deduction because he knows that by giving to charities he pays less in taxes and others like you and me have to make up the difference or we borrow money. You are an idiot because you the bitch about the huge Federal deficit that that borrowing causes.

If the Mormon Church want to build huge Mega Churches , let them do it from money that is not tax deductible. You ever been to SLC and seen that monster of a church? .

True Buffet et al donate substantial wealth to good causes; but I doubt their contributions come close to Romney's 65% of annual income.....

Buffet, Gates and others are generally giving away accumulated wealth; not annual earnings.....

Thanks for making the same point CJ; Buffet isn't giving his wealth to Obama to spend, he is privately giving it to charities.....................
