I’m watching “Blazing Saddles” on AMC. They have removed the sound every time the word “nigger” is used. Not only does it break up the flow of the movie, it completely derails the social impact the movie had when it first came out.
The movie was instrumental in bringing the word out into the open and ridiculing it’s use. There are some scenes that will be classics forever.
The uncensored version (all curse words and derogatory terms are shredded) never fails to bring the knowing chuckle as well as the full scale guffaw.
Mel Brooks is a true genius.

Obama refuses to say "endowed by their creator" ! Instead he prefers the PC phrase, "all men are created equal, that each of us are endowed with certain inalienable rights."
He alters the DoI the same way he re-writes his own birth certificate and personal history (made up of course).

Some places it is more insidious; many years ago I saw a broadcast of the movie "A Boy and his Dog" with Don Johnson. It was being broadcast from a major Boston station. There is a scene where the dog (the smarter of the two) is quizzing the boy (Johnson) on his presidents. Johnson is answering, Kennedy, Johnson, Nixon, Ford, Carter, Kennedy, Kennedy.... except this makes it look like it was a Kennedy (Ted?) who was responsible for all the nuclear devastation that they live in. So what got broadcast was stopped at Carter. They left the rape scene intact, the robot murder scene, and the cannibal scene were all left as they were filmed. Less like PC and more censorship.
