... Ok then - all you yester-year lads,

THIS thread is where you mention your favourite
or memorable restaurant or eatery NO LONGER OPEN
- a Western PA place that served great foods
and that you wish was still open for business.

... Should be simple enough... Have a go!

... I'll start off with a popular one for a
good number of me mates - DEL-KIDS over Robinson area.
Open for brekky OVERNIGHT.

Gus the Greek could cook up a storm. 6 egg Omelettes and a pound of bacon!!!! The Central diner in Robinson is good, but no Del Kids for breakfast. Fattigatti’s in South Fayette was awesome for dinner. Huge steaks for a reasonable price. You never left hungry. Many couldn’t finish their meals.

Yeah - Fatigati's is another lost gem. Went to college with one of the Fatigati's - that restaurant was a gold mine

... I did some checking... Fattigatti's - what a place!
Didn't they serve you mates TWO steaks at a time??

I'm thinkin' that the Fattigatti joeys decided to leave the
restaurant business and attend medical school at university.

**********

Now let's carry-off with another one: place named "Howard Johnson's"...

Yeah several of them did (although thankfully not the one I went knew - that would be a scary thought)

Yovi’s hotdogs were awesome. Chicago dogs were my favorite. I saw a Yovis truck recently. To my knowledge, he doesn’t have a restaurant anymore.

I second that. We used to leave at 2 AM to go hunting and would stop there. You ordered two eggs and you had enough food for a family. Am I correct. They sell pipes and things like that now. They had good chili also.

Fatty Gatti's in Cecil if I am spelling it right. Italian. Unreal the meals, Once her retired no one wanted to run it. Everything was good especially the Salad dressing

Another place Ever Good Donuts. In Robinson. When I was a kid I ate a Dozen donuts at a time instead of eating real food. They been closed a long time also.
