Sons of Anarchy - revisited - Jimmy Smits is just so HOT, too!
I'm a huge fan of "Sons of Anarchy" and actually started a topic about the show back last fall. Here is the link to the discussion:
http://www.eccie.net/showthread.php?t=315926
I adore the shows "Breaking Bad" and now, "Boss" but SOA is just so gritty.
Well, this season, I would like to know what others are thinking about the story line twists. When I was watching the new episodes the past few weeks, I found it really difficult to not grimace.
I mean, wow. The violence is really bad. Not that it was ever soft. But does anyone else thing that this show is getting REALLY intense?
Just curious for a discussion about it.

Haha...I kept saying, that guy looks just like jimmy Smits! I watched it last night for the first Ike in a long time. Very graphic but still couldn't turn it off until it was over. Also, I didn't think I'd have gotten it up if someone was holding a gun to me (even though she is hot)..... Anyone else think the same way?

Ya when the burned that girl alive in front of her father it did give a sick feeling.
They are either cancelled after this season or the writers were told to go deeper. It's very intense.

Oh man and that poor provider they wanted to kill, phew. They wanted a finger and one of her titties to prove the sons killed her. I've not gotten up past that. I don't have time to slack like the old days.
And CJ we agree on just about everything outside politics. Come back to Dallas and lets be hippies for a weekend!!

That was last week. So we don't freak out Kayla, they got the finger and the breast from a guy who is a "cleaner" of sorts. The body parts came from someone already dead, supposedly.
Admittedly, there have been a few times over the past month that it's been on (Opie's death being a huge deal!) that just turned my stomach and I thought if I should rethink even watching the series.
But it's SO SO SO good!!!

That was a real "oh crap" moment when they did that to his daughter.
From what I've read in articles, the first few seasons portrayed the group as being a bit too cool and it was my understanding that it was suggested that they show these gangs to be more what they truly are, vicious killers and criminals.
And not the "cool" type of bikers that are in our imaginations.
Seems as if they've succeeded. I believe that it's been signed on for two more seasons already.

Never seen the show. Is it on Hulu or Amazon Prime?

COG,
I do know that the first season is on Amazon Prime because I have the service myself. However, I'm not sure about the other seasons. I have a Kindle downloaded on my Ipad and you can see those first episodes for free, no problem.
I'm not that familiar with Hulu but I believe that you can also see episodes if you visit the official site.
There is a completely different tone from the show now compared to the show when I first started watching it, then went back and watched the first two seasons.
However, it's really compelling entertainment, if you like that sort of thing!
Hugs,
Elisabeth

I like "Boss". Kelsey Grammar is a great actor and the show is loaded with hot women, especially, the ice blond princess that used to work for the mayor and now works for the lesbian gubernatorial candidate.
They show skin, too. Plenty of it. But mixed into a great plot.

Did you see the latest one from last Friday? (I tape it and so I'm not sure of the time) It's the episode before the season finale and it had a HUGE twist in it. Which for that show is saying something.
The sex scenes are pretty graphic for television. Or at least for a somewhat television newb like I am. The twists and turns are really high end entertaining.
And it doesn't hurt that the show is filmed and features one of my most favorite cities in the world!!! CHICAGO!!!
Great television.

I have not watched SOA, but I would like to start.
I'd like to start from the first season. How do I go about it? I've got U-Verse and i want to watch for free. Do I just use On-Demand to start with Season 1, episode 1?

I was speaking of last night's episode but the one with the breast and finger tip was from last week. I stopped watching the debates to watch it at 9 PM, Central Time.
