How Many Thousands of Dollars Per Year on Escorts?

Figuring out how much the typical client spends each year is not easy, but it’s not impossible either. I thought I’d share the results of some research into this. Maybe it's been discussed previously here. I'm curious what information other people may have.

Looking at one survey done on an escort Web site discussion forum, with some 250 clients participating, close to 40% of respondents indicated they saw providers at least once a month, with 15% saying at least once a week. Another 35% said a few times a year, and 10% said once a year or less. I can’t say these numbers are representative of all clients across the U.S., but they do provide some basis of calculation.

Assuming one-hour sessions at $300 per hour, clients seeing a provider once a month would spend $3,600 per year. Once a week would be about $15,000. With the distribution just discussed, that range of spending would account for 50% of clients.

One can match this up against another poll done on another escort Web site where about 130 clients answered how much they had spent over 10 years. About 8% indicated spending between $100 and $500 annually, 12% between $500 and $1000, 20% between $1000 and $2500, 13% between $2500 and $4500, 9% between $4500 and $6000, 6% between $6000 and $9000, 9% between $9000 and $15000 annually, and 16% over $15000 annually.

The mean value in that poll is the $2,500 to $4,500 range, corresponding to roughly one $300 session per month. I suppose one way of interpreting all these numbers is to say that anybody participating in this lifestyle is going to spend at least some number of thousands of dollars per year, with heavier indulgers spending much more. Seeing an escort once a week for example, especially a higher-end one, can easily cost tens of thousands of dollars a year.

One can comparere this with other hobbies. Golf is a good one. According to one site, typical annuals golf costs are $3,000 to $10,000. That’s in line with modest amounts of escort visits. A heavy escort user spending $20,000 to $50,000 in a year might be matched by a golfer traveling to exotic locations, staying at high-end hotels, and playing on the best courses.

My view is that everybody needs some form of escape or another to make it through life. Spending on the hobby is probably no higher than other things people do stay sane.

I dont golf, but I'm an avid bass fisherman and in the spring and summer I'll spend more money on fishing gear and traveling than I'll spend on the hobby, actually I'll pass on some ass for a five pound bass !

One day I decided to try to build the worlds' fastest Chevy Suburban. I wanted the challenge. A camaro project was getting boring. So $40,000 later (not including truck or labor) I had a record setter. 0-60 in 2 sec. 9.50's in the quarter mile. Had a lot of fun with it for a couple years. The Speed Channel did a segment on it in '09. Now it sits in the corner of the shop collecting dust. I've wasted more money than I can count, but I've had more fun than I ever would've dreamed.
