Default Interesting Tid-Bit From Our New Friends, The Persians

http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/...ait/ar-BBhWgNj

These are the people that we are willing to trust when they tell us that they have no desire to build a Nuclear Weapon.

Notice the name of the exercise. "Great Prophet 9".

This is a "Thugocracy" ruled by religious zealots who will cut your head off in the name of their God. The ultimate prize at this time would be to send a $10,000,000,000 aircraft carrier to the bottom of the Persian Gulf.

If President Obama insist in being so naive, and so stupid, as to think he can "trust" the Iranians, then he is a bigger fool than he has already shown himself to be.

Sooner or later, Israel will have to deal with a Muslim Country that has the capability to turn Jerusalem into a burning cinder. Just as in WW-2, when the entire World looked the other way as Fascist and Nazi's asked us to "trust them", we will have to deal with this situation.

It might already be too late. We have a Government that refuses to believe that the final goal of Muslim Controled Countries is total subjugation of western civilization. They think that there are political solutions to the problem of dealing with religious zealots whose aim is to convert the entire World over to Islam, or kill anybody who refuses.

Good show, President Obama, keep morons such as Susan Rice as your top advisers. Have our entire State Department and Military Controled by those who think that if we just be nice to Muslims, they will stop trying to kill is.

But then, this is what you get when you elect a "community organizer" to be the leader of the Free World.

And this is what you get when the majority of the electorate are looking for a free handout from what ever Demagogue will promise it.

The perfect combination of Naiveté and Stupidity.

Well, the "good news" is ...

.... they don't know what a carrier looks like.

Non-stop ODS these days.

So, what should President Obama do? Let's be honest, there is no "solution" that is going to satisfy the folks in your corner. Once you accept the ridiculous proposition that the muslims are bent on taking over the world then the options really shrink to just one, right?

Truly, your entire premise is absurd....no offense. Obama doesn't trust the Iranians any more than you do. This "stop the clock" strategy is designed to buy more time to get a comprehensive deal. And, by the way, it's been on the table for years and has been propounded as a viable strategy by conservative commentators....at least the more thoughtful ones who don't start beating the war drums the instant anybody mentions Iran.

So? Attack? Is that the answer? More endless war in the middle east?

We are, or at least Israel will, have to del with this sooner or later.

Granted, there isn't much we can do. The Genie, so to speak, got out of the bottle years ago. Building a Nuclear Weapon, or sinking a Nimitz Class Carrier is really not that difficult once you have the means, and most important, the will to do it.

The ultimate insult to The United States would be have some rag head government send The Ronald Reagan to the bottom. They know this. I have no doubt that they have already acquired the sophisticated weaponry to do this. All they lack is the opportunity.

It also would not surprise me to find out that Iran already has a Nuclear device, probably something in the 30,000 kiloton range. They have had enough time through our unwillingness to stop them to produce enough fissionable Plutonium or U-235 to build a bomb about that size.

They won't admit to it at this time because they need time to build more. And we are willing to give it to them.

ISIS -- Muslims -- said it is their goal to take over the world, Little Timmy-tard. Have you not been reading the papers, Little Timmy-tard? When Hitler made similar claims decades ago, Little Timmy-tard, ignorant people like you scoffed. When UBL declared war on the U.S. during Slick Willie the Perjuring Sexual Predator's administration, Little Timmy-tard, ignorant people like you scoffed.

And between the wars, the Germans said they weren't rearming, and this is what passed for a *farm tractor* in Hitler's Germany:

They went to the bottom in less than an hour.

We would like to believe that with all of the sophisticated defences that a typical Carrier has, it would be impossible to get close enough to inflict enough damage to sink one. But the Iranians are not stupid. They have the means, and no shortage of zealots who would gladly make the ultimate sacrifice in order to obtain the glories promised by their "God".

In the movie "the Godfather Part 2", Michael Corleon stated that History has taught us anything, it is that if you are willing, you can kill anybody.

I agree with you that there is no obvious solution to the Middle East, and I don't want us to get involved in wars over there any more. We can now produce the oil we need, or buy it from someplace else.
It would be prudent to restrict them from entering the United States, though. I think that they would love to do their thing without interference from us. I would prefer we didn't have them in this country to have to monitor as a security risk, because many of them are decent people making contributions to our great country, but that actually provides cover for the ones who hate us.

Well, the obvious solution is to bring our reliance on fossil fuel resources to an end by developing alternative energy technologies. The only reason the middle east matters to us is oil. Unfortunately, the people in the best position to do this are the fossil fuel energy companies....who are making way too much money selling fossil fuels to be interested in developing an alternative.

If Obama can't handle the mess he helped create then he should step aside and let an adult do the job. Obama's top advisor grew up in Iran. As for your misreading of history, there are three courses of action if you think that Muslims want to take over the world; confront them and put the genie back in the bottle, contain them and allow them to go no further, or capitulate and let them do as they please without restriction. Which one is in the best interest of the American people?

The whole alternate energy snake oil scheme ehhhh? We have more oil than Saudi Arabia does, more coal than most of the world, and we have all but achieved energy independence from the Middle East. The people making the most money from fossil fuel is the federal and state governments, not "big oil".
Lets talk about "big oil" for a minute. Your liberal idealogy has taught you to hate big oil because they make money or as you say "too much money". Lets look at that. The latest reports show that for each gallon of gasoline the oil company makes about 8 cents of profit and they sell a lot of gasoline. The taxes on a gallon of gasoline is about 50 cents, so who is making all the money? Anyway, what do you get for that gasoline? You can move yourself and your car about 25 miles away (depending on your mileage) for $2.25 (In Kansas). Try to do that with a taxi, moving truck, or a rickshaw. That is really incredible. "Big Oil" is able to explore, find, drill, pump, transport, refine, transport again a product that only costs you $2.25 a gallon. They do it safely, consistently, and they have it available almost everywhere. Kind of a miracle if you ask me.

This is a little simplified, but it does show how dependent we as a modern society are on fossil fuels.

Not so fast. Once again, you gloss over a more nuanced subject. And it's even from Forbes, a right wing rag.

Yeah, big oil isn't making any money off of it. Yeah...
And they do it safely? You must have a short memory
