Recent events leave me saddened. Which almost always serves to spark my curiosity (see: being sad need not be such a bad thing). My question:

I have heard tales of reference requests from Lady A to Lady B generating texts and PM's from Lady B to Joe Hobby (the subject of the reference request), offering specials and the like to see Lady B vs. Lady A, a perhaps not "best practice," but also a not entirely despicable business practice. It's not like Lady B told Lady A that Joe Hobby was a creepo or anything.

But what if she did say he's a creepo? And what if he isn't a creepo? What if she is just a touch like Kathy Bates in Misery? Misguided. Conniving. Selfish. Whatever. Does this happen with any regularity? Do ladies allow for this possibility, and take some references with a "grain of salt"?

Seriously, if you're on a site like P411, Lady A can contact ladies 'B', 'C',......and so on. However many makes them comfortable. The more references you give, the less likely this is to be a problem.

I never understood this. I don't care about who else a gentleman chooses to see besides me. I mean, it's not like he's my only client either. Men do not join this hobby to be in monogamous relationships. If it bothers a lady so much, they should find another profession.

Treat others the way you would like to be treated. If a lady calls you about a client, be HONEST, don't say he's bad when he's not, and don't okay a gentleman who you know can be a danger just to spite someone. Nastiness will not get you far in this profession.

I love and appreciate all of my gentlemen callers and if theh want to visit other ladies so be it! Someone else has no effect on my business or performance. My confidence and skills as a provider and my alluring personality is what keeps people coming back for more. There is no need for me to resort to childish games to "drum up business" because in the end the only person's reputation who will be damaged is your own.

I am fortunate that I travel a lot and have references from lots of different cities. If I am looking to see a lady in DC, I will use references from Colorado or Texas. Or P411 or D-C. It doesn't eliminate the chance of it happening, but it significantly lessens it. This is a very personal business, and both the personal aspect and the business aspect can cause those kinds of reactions at times.
