Gift cards to avoid Law Enforcement? (and other thoughts)

I'm new to the area. Just moved here and don't have any references and haven't really been active for a while. I've seen some ladies on Backpage but have always avoided those because there were a lot of stings and even the occasional armed robberies where I came from.

Anyway, what I was really wondering is if using gift cards like prepaid visa cards does actually circumvent Law enforcement? I've seen news articles from other states saying it does but unsure how that translates to this state.

Also, the other day I did contact someone on backpage and she asked me if I was law enforcement. I told her no of course and that asking me doesn't protect her. She then blocked me, so whatever that means.

Greenie, You have a few reviews from Nebraska so you should know some of the ways of the "hobby." Charlottesville seems a bit slow, but you may find a few gems with the university.
