nobody has ever said open borders is a good idea. There has been a huge demand for additional legislation to fix the border issues and SPECIFICALLY the asylum process; while there is some EO actions that can happen, it fails to provide the funding that comes from the legislation process.
Why do Republicans fail to see that paying for the asylum process is part of how that works. - vs pointing fingers vs. fixing issues?
BTW- how do the majority of drugs come into the USA?
It's not across the southern border by mules walking people over or sneaking across the the river. It comes from trucks and by shipping containers and cars at the 26 land Ports of Entry (POEs).
see the link below for details and the exerpt.
https://immigrationforum.org/article...al%20barriers.
CBP data indicates most illicit drug substances are smuggled through POEs, contrary to common belief that they are smuggled between ports of entry, particularly in areas without fencing or other physical barriers. The data also indicates that most illicit fentanyl encountered by CBP is smuggled through POEs at the southern border.
It doesn't walk across.- as so many of the hated brown ppl that the GOP is concerned with. Amazing that the issue is ramping up the hate for both Democrats and asylum seekers.
The GOP takes great comfort of the other side of a political aisle
as-if the issues don't affect them, but they are sadly mistaken. They could either fix it or complain about it.
Guess which one the GOP decided to do?
